This week, our host Salim is joined yet again by cohost Rukshana as they talk to Nazia Khatun - fitness specialist and founder of Fitness Reborn. Having been an amateur boxer, she shares with us her experience as we broach the topic of mental health (particularly in relation to body image) in our communities. Nazia speaks about her personal challenges, touching on how culture only seemed to aggravate them, and how she eventually managed to overcome them. The discussion turns to the importance of having these conversations within our communities, moving past the damaging misconception that this is a "white people problem", as that is the only way to truly address and eradicate this issue.
