This week, our host Salim speaks to Miqdaad Versi, a member of the Muslim Council of Britain and executive director of the Centre for Media Monitoring. They talk about the work that he has done in those roles, how an interest in the portrayal of Muslims in the news snowballed into an organisation that has and continues to hold the media to account. Miqdaad shares his experiences, regaling stories that highlight just how much of an impact can be made, whilst emphasising that the war is not yet won. Salim and Miqdaad then go on to discuss what the next steps look like, and how we as a community can work together to ensure accuracy in the presentation of the Muslim narrative.
