Today’s guest is a former Navy SEAL, New York Times bestselling author, podcast host, and sought after expert in the world of multi purpose canine training.
As one of the first Navy SEALs in the initial invasion of Iraq, Mike Ritland witnessed a dog save a group of Marines which altered the course of his life.
Following his time in the SEAL Teams, Mike founded Trikos, providing personal protection dogs for private sector individuals and families, and working dogs for the DoD, TSA, and Customs & Border Protection.
In 2010 he founded the Warrior Dog Foundation to provide care for retired working dogs that would otherwise be euthanized, saving over 200 dogs to date.
Through his TeamDog.Pet program and his Fueled by Team Dog food products he has successfully helped tens of thousands of dog owners train their way to a better dog.
He is the New York Times bestselling author of Team Dog, Navy SEAL Dogs, Trident K9 Warriors, and Unf*ck America.
