Description

Christopher Badgley is the Executive Director and CEO of the Association of Dental Support Organizations (ADSO), which represents dental practitioners across the U.S. This includes HR, tech support, financing, and the administrative functions of the dental industry. Badgley spent much of his career in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry. He obtained a B.S. in Wildlife Management from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. Christopher spent 18 years working for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, where he started as a sales representative and ended as the Executive Director of State Government Affairs. He then served as the Senior Vice President for Government and Public Affairs at PhRMA, and Senior Vice President of State Government Affairs for TechAmerica, a trade association for tech companies in the U.S. Prior to his role in ADSO, he also worked at Daiichi Sanko, a Japanese pharmaceutical company. “Working at a trade association, you have to listen to a lot of voices, knowing they are competitors. You have to be able to dance that dance, and that is what makes trade associations fun.” The DSO business model in the dental industry allows dentists to focus on patients and clinical aspects, while contracting the back of house functions of the practice to the member companies of ADSO.
