Description
Citi Field is Back! Albeit 20 percent, but we'll take what we can get. Fans will be in the stands come Opening Day and that crowd is gonna be rockin' from the first pitch. KFC and Clem break down what this means for Barstool at the Ballpark and how we're working to make sure that everyone has the best experience possible. Yes, it's socially distanced. Yes, it means that the group may need to be split up with another outing, but the big picture here is that baseball is back and we'll be there all season long!
We deep dive into the big bats coming alive at the perfect time of Spring and just how scary this lineup will be now that Pete is back to hitting Fuck bombs all over the park. There's nothing prettier than a power hitter spraying in the alleys and the Pete we are seeing right now is the reason why he's the odds on favorite to lead the league in homers once again.
The guys looks into the Lindor contract negotiations, the defensive situation with Nimmo and the diamond in the rough that is Luis Guillorme. It looks like we're gonna have ourselves a little healthy competition at third base, but that will only make JD double Davis Davis work harder and make the club better as a whole.
After recording we got word that Carlos Carrasco tore his hamstring and is likely headed to the IL for a long stint, but with Peterson, Lucceshi and Yamamota lighting it up for a rotation spot all that means is that two of the three will get a chance to show us what they've got.
The only looming problem with this team is the same problem we've had since its inception and that's depth in the bullpen. There's a ton of question marks, the biggest being Betances and skinny Familia, but we gotta believe that if the bats do what they do and our starters give us a chance then we'll have a fighting chance night in and night out.
