Description
Carlos Carrasco's elbow is flaring up and we're getting PTSD of promising pitchers of past. Cookie is injury prone, but Luis Rojas seems confident that rest is all he needs. He'll be back on the bump next week and we'll be holding our breath to see if he's looking right.
Speaking of "looking right," we haven't been able to look at much of anything this spring with SNY and WCBS' scheduling. MLB preaches about growing the game and ushering in a younger generation, but if you've got two Jacob deGrom starts and neither of them are covered you've got a PROBLEM. It's about that time to wrap this shit up and start focusing on the season because we are over it.
The top prospects have looked extremely strong, headlined by Mauricio, Crow-Armstrong and Baty, but let's be real, the future is now. It's nice to see the young guys ball out, but it's time for this lineup to come into focus.
The guys breakdown the bullpen and how the pieces can come together, what the roles may be if we don't have a conventional closer and just how sweet 'Narcos' blasting on Citi Field's speakers is going to sound when Sugar Diaz takes his jog to the mound.
Clem, Kyle and BC each give their percentages of confidence in EdWIN and what they expect from the one-time All Star this season. He's already proven he can dominate over the short term, but has he really settled into the New York groove? We gotta believe that he has so blast those trumpets and enjoy the show!
