What is the glass ceiling?
Typically is referred to as females in the workplace that can only reach a particular point in their career. Recently it has been expanded to include all marginalized groups!
Before we accept a job, think / ask about:

Who is on the executive leadership team?
Who are you reporting to? Who are their peers?
Mentorship program?
Female development team?
What sort of career development opportunities can you expect?
Women at every level of leadership?


Tips:

Work with your leadership team to get in front of opportunities
Ask what you need to do in order to make your next move
Track progress
Hold regular check in meetings
Bring others with you
Know your worth
Don't settle
Demand equal pay
Get your voice heard
Be your own boss
