The Context of White Supremacy hosts our Thursday weekly focus group on Workplace Racism. This program exists solely to increase our problem-solving capacity and to codify how black people think, speak, act and manage our emotions while on the job. Any listeners who have unearthed the best techniques to minimize conflict with White and/or non-white co-workers, avoid demotions, write-ups, terminations or the other usual problems we experience in Racist work environments should be first to call in and share particulars. We always welcome the experiences of Black "entrepreneurs;" please, report how being "self employed" alters your contact with Whites on the job. We'll hear counter-racist methods from listeners as well as individual reflections from your own work environment. Gus suggests non-white people keep documentation about our workplace experiences. Writing down your thoughts and workplace incidents is more dependable than memory, and the act of writing can help declutter and elucidate your understanding.
