Description
This podcast summarizes the 2016 Canadian Paediatric Society (CPS) position statement on the management of acute otitis media in children six months of age and older. In this episode, listening will learn about the pathogenesis, etiology, and risk factors of acute otitis media. They will also learn to diagnose and to manage uncomplicated acute otitis media, depending on the clinical situation and presence of severity criteria. This podcast was developed by Jade Chénard-Roy, in collaboration with Dr. Nicole Le Saux, a paediatric infectious diseases physician and associate Professor at the University of Ottawa, and Dr. Joan L Robinson, a paediatric infectious diseases specialist and associate professor at the University of Alberta.
