Dr. Berg talks about an artificial sweetener called Splenda(sucralose). It is one of the most popular but it is chlorinated sugar which means they added chlorine and also maltodextrin which has a very high glycemic index that could greatly spike the blood sugar.
• Maltodextrin – This can raise the blood sugar.
• It alters the Intestinal Bacteria
• Worsen Blood Sugars – Increases risk of insulin resistance and A1C, a type of test to indicate blood sugar problems.
