In this podcast, Kelly interviews Steve Wyborney the author of The Writing on The Classroom Wall. Kelly and Steve talk about Steve's 24 beliefs about education and why you will want to share your educational beliefs with your students. Kelly interviews Steve about his book and they cover many educational topics.  Steve Wyborney is a District Math Coach from Ontario, Oregon. Steve has been a 2nd-5th grade teacher, a building instructional coach, and now works with all teachers of math from kindergarten through high school in his school district. Steve is well-known for his use of instructional technology and his passion for mathematics. He frequently shares strategies and resources at conferences and through his blog at www.stevewyborney.com. He has also received numerous teaching awards. He was the recipient of the L. E. Wesche Outstanding Educator Award, was a national finalist for the Kinder Excellence in Teaching Award, and was the 2005 Oregon Teacher of the Year. Steve is the author of 14 books. His most recent book, The Writing on the Classroom Wall, describes his reflective journey that led to posting his 24 most passionate beliefs about teaching and learning on the wall of his classroom and how he shared them with students and wove them into the fabric of the classroom community. Additionally, it encourages educators to wrestle with their own beliefs about students, teaching, and learning and to share those beliefs with their students.
