Good morning, precious child. There's no greater love than the love of God. He is love (1 John 4:8), and His great and intense love for us compels Him to treat us better than we deserve. Unselfish, unconditional love is described in 1 Corinthians 13:4–8a, which says, Love is large and incredibly patient. Love is gentle and consistently kind to all. It refuses to be jealous when blessing comes to someone else. Love does not brag about one's achievements nor inflate its own importance. Love does not traffic in shame and disrespect, nor selfishly seek its own honor. Love is not easily irritated or quick to take offense. Love joyfully celebrates honesty and finds no delight in what is wrong. Love is a safe place of shelter, for it never stops believing the best for others. Love never takes failure as defeat, for it never gives up. Love never stops loving.

In John 13:35, Jesus said, The world would know that we're His disciples by this kind of love we have for each other (paraphrasing). I don't know about you, but I never knew what love was until I met Jesus. His love so overwhelmed me that I have never gotten over it. And now I know and understand that I will never get over God's love because love Himself lives in me! I am so caught up in this love that it compels me to love you!
