      Preface

      Soothsayer

      was a fun poetry project where I stewed in the various ideas of horror and the idea of fear. While being a huge scaredycat myself, I can’t help but be drawn to horror. There’s so many different tropes and aspects of horror, some that are laughable and others that are sobering. I believe that if we are told to laugh a little, we should also be told to be scared a little.

      This is a collection of haunting poems that explore various aspects of horror and terror. From beings beyond our comprehension to the darkness within ourselves, Soothsayer is a book full of fear...and warning. Read on, illuminate the dark and be prepared to run.

      Dedicated to my bestie of nearly twenty years, who has always been in my corner.
