In addition to her love of writing, she has a passion for music, and an obsession with The Beatles.

      As I left the bar I decided to cut through the alleyway. The chill of the night air was almost more than I could handle. When I reached the end of the long, dark alley, a woman appeared.

      Am I pretty? She asked as she approached me.

      Yes, I answered truthfully.

      She then removed the scarf she wore, revealing a large slit through her mouth. It reached ear to ear.

      She batted her eyes, asking me again. Am I pretty?

      Frozen in fear, I couldn’t move, even though everything in me wanted to run.

      When she smiled, my heart stopped.
