    DEDICATION

I dedicate this book to the 12-year-old girl who, after losing her family in the Israeli air bombardment in Gaza and being hospitalised with both her legs amputated, gave an interview to an international media outlet in which she asked what would be the meaning of her life now, and why the hearts of the world have become hardened.

I also dedicate this book to and pay tribute to those Israeli citizens who were indiscriminately killed in Kibbutz, who, from the goodness of their hearts and their humanity, used to fly kites over into Gaza with messages written of friendship, love and care.

    ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

I am immensely thankful to my family and my father for their continuous support, love and encouragement. I am thankful to God for inspiring my heart and enabling me in my efforts.

It is as though we only respond to and are driven by the needs of our emotions in
