About this ebook
“Cut then atwain
With sword of wisdom, Son of Bharata!
This doubt that binds thy heart-beats! cleave the bond
Born of thy ignorance! Be bold and wise!
Give thyself to the field with me! Arise!” *
*The Bhagavad Gita, translation of E. Arnold
This short poem is a narration of the “age of confusion” we currently live in, through symbols and vivid imagery. It draws inspiration from T.S. Eliot's "The Waste Land" in exploring themes of lack of love, peace and forgiveness revisited in modern themes and language.
A light of hope into the current age is cast not by external socio-political movements; rather by an inner transformation process, while embracing the power of innocence and collective awareness.
“We but mirror the world. All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. This is the divine mystery supreme. A wonderful thing it is and the source of our happiness. We need not wait to see what others do.”
― Mahatma Gandhi
