he serene twilight of the Shire belied the chaos that unfolded as Sarnath’s forces launched their assault. Monstrous beings trampled through the underbrush, their roars shattering the peace as dark sorcerers cast spells that left streaks of corruption in the sky. The land, once vibrant and alive, trembled under the onslaught.

At the heart of a hastily erected command post, Frodo surveyed the battlefield from his strategic map, his face a mask of concentration. The room buzzed with the energy of messengers who darted in and out, carrying reports and commands to the front lines. Despite the tumult, Frodo’s presence commanded a calm that seemed to steady those around him.

Eldrin, are the barriers holding at the east ridge? Frodo asked, his voice cutting through the clamor of the command tent.

The barriers shimmered under the onslaught, a dome of light that protected the Hobbit homes behind him. Eldrin’s focus did not waver, even as the dark forces tested his defenses with increasing ferocity.

Suddenly, a frantic cry for help pierced the relative calm of the command post. Frodo’s head snapped up, his hand instinctively reaching for the sword at his side. Report! he demanded.

    It’s the western flank—wars! came
