Throughout history, women have defied expectations and shattered barriers in pursuit of their entrepreneurial dreams. From Madam C.J. Walker, the trailblazing entrepreneur who became the first female self-made millionaire in America, to contemporary pioneers like Oprah Winfrey and Sara Blakely, women have continually carved out their places in the business world.

From the age of 14, I’ve been employed by others, but the longing to chart my own course grew within me. I explored various avenues, from Amway to Mary Kay, fueled by the desire to cultivate something of my own amidst the demands of a 40 to 60-hour workweek.

With each passing year and the arrival of successive generations, my aspiration transformed into an impassioned commitment to realize my dreams – to establish not just a business, but a legacy, an inheritance for my descendants to cherish for years to come.

In 2019, I resolved to seize my dreams. First, I pursued my teenage ambition of becoming a dark romance author, publishing my debut novel in 2020 and subsequently penning over 30 books.

Then, in 2021, Warrioress Publishing was born. Through strategic phases, I nurtured its growth: from publishing my own works to expanding into anthologies and, in June 2023, extending opportunities to aspiring authors, signing over twenty talented authors and counting.

March of 2024 marked the inception of Empowering Authors with Knowledge, series sharing insights gleaned from my journey. This endeavor, irrespective of affiliation, embodies my belief in the power of shared knowledge, particularly among women.

Why this book? It’s a beacon of encouragement, especially for women aspiring to entrepreneurial independence. Recognizing that not everyone possesses the entrepreneurial spirit, I affirm the value of both paths. However, for those yearning to forge their own destinies, this is your guide. It extols the virtues of embracing entrepreneurship and the empowerment it brings.

What ignites your passion? Whether it’s crafting, writing, painting, travel, or fitness, there’s potential for a thriving business. I’ve embraced two ventures: my author brand and the publishing house, each a reflection of my passions and aspirations. One is a labor of love, while the other is my professional pursuit.
