About this ebook

What is man that you care for Him? Is man created to be just like the holy God? What prompted the holy God to give Himself totally, away to the Man He created? Did not God breathe His very life into man and is not His breath, His seed of life? And did God not say, "Every seed produces of its kind?" Can this mean, His kind is actually holy God Himself? For Scripture reveals, "As He is, so are we in this world" (1 John 4:17). But what is "as he is"? And then, what is "man"? Did God not say we are created in HIS image and likeness? And does that not mean we are His very likeness in all things? Is his desire for His created man to become just like Himself? These are questions we will answer about the desire and purpose of His man. Is His desire for each one of us to become just like Jesus?

    About the Author

To holy God, Christ Jesus, His one and only Son, and the Holy Spirit of God, who honored me with the inspiration, the content of this writing, and the scriptural understanding of its meaning and its intent by holy God for His man!

To my wife, Patty, who has been at my side for seventy-four year ever since high school and is my greatest critic. But for some reason known only to God, and in some way, she always prevails becoming the victor in the correct way I should proceed. I love her for being that helpful and attentive to God, who speaks His thoughts through her!

Then, I am also thankful for my four children for allowing themselves to follow after Mom and me, so they know God, know to love God, and desire to serve God in this world!

To explain, the term man in my writings is used in the same context as spoken by holy God, for He said, "In the image of God, He created him; male and female He created them" (Gen 1:26)! So then, God created man. And from the man, He created the woman: Eve.

Why said, "We are to believe every word of God!" Are we adding words never meant to be there? What is the truthful intent of God speaking, "As He is, so are we in this world!"

    1

God Creates Man, and Man Disobeys

Before anything was created, God the Father, God the Word, and God the Holy Spirit decided that our Heavenly Father, holy God, should have a family. So God spoke, and a man, Adam, was created. God then created a home for Adam. God also chose to be hidden from man in this life and not allow Himself to be seen by any person He created, but holy God did require man to believe and be obedient to His word!

So God created man out of the dust of the earth and placed him in a beautiful garden. God then saw that the man was lonely, and so He created a female to be his helpmate. She was created out of the flesh of Adam! Adam named his helpmate woman for she was taken out of man (Genesis 2:21). She was created as a helpmate for man, equal in authority and was never meant to be his slave! But because she was taken out of man, God subjected her to Adam!

God placed the man (Adam) in a deep sleep and took a rib from him. With this rib, He created another man, and Adam called this man woman. The name Adam means man! This woman was not created to be the slave of man nor to be lower in stature than man, but because she was taken out of man, she too was man, created equally with Adam but subject to him! Adam said: "This is now Bone of my Bone and Flesh of my Flesh. She shall be called woman for she was taken out of man. For this reason, a man will leave his mother and father, and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh" (Genesis 2:23–24).

Understand then, man—every man who is Adam—is never complete again until he is rejoined to his own flesh, who is the woman called Eve. That is what marriage means and why God subjected the woman to man's authority! Therefore, when God spoke to Adam, He was also speaking to the woman still in Adam!

God says she will be subject to Adam, for she was created after the man. Adam, however, was primary in authority, for he gave her the name of woman, naming her Eve and that has remained her name! The man and woman each were created with a will that allowed them to make separate choices for themselves! When they were created, God called them man.

God created man in His own Image; in the Image of God, He created Him; male and female He created them! (Gen. 1:27)

At creation, God gave Adam the entire authority of holy God, and this authority was inclusive over everything God created.

    2

God's Authority over Earth Given to Man

Genesis 1:26 "I give you Authority over everything upon the Earth, everything above the Earth, and everything under the Earth. Then God said, rule and subdue the Universe. Be Fruitful and Increase, (Gen 1:26).

God then stepped aside and rested from all His work of creation (Genesis 3:2). All this happened on the sixth day of creation. And so, on the seventh day, God rested from all His work of creation! He Blessed the seventh day of the week, making it holy for His man. God's creative work was completed (Genesis 2:2)!

God is all-knowing, and so He knew Adam and Eve would use their free will and fail to obey Him but instead would obey God's enemy, the serpent devil, who is the fallen angel, Lucifer, who had been created as the most beautiful in heaven, next to Almighty God! Lucifer attempted to usurp God's power and authority by allowing pride and beauty God had given him to choose to be greater than the holy God. As a result, Lucifer was defeated and cast down to the earth for uprising against the holy God!

The free will of man caused them to not see the danger in making decisions through their own choices, free of God's wisdom! The serpent devil showed them images of what appeared to be the goodness in the world available to man, but these were false and deceitful images! The devil disguised himself and presented himself to Eve as a helpful being. Eve was blinded by this deceit, and she never saw his evilness! These deceits were perversions and false presentations of God's word and were designed so that Eve had a great desire to have them! This was the fruit of this tree of knowledge of good and evil. Eve observed this fruit shown to her over many days. And finally, since they looked good for food, she decided to partake of them! Scripture refers to the fruit as apples, but in reality, this fruit is the hidden evils this world offers to lure man to disobey God!

    3

The Angel Lucifer and Man's Disobedience

There are many and varied deceits shown to man by God's enemy, who is the fallen angel, the serpent Lucifer. While in heaven, this angel (Lucifer) rebelled against God and attempted to rise above God, claiming his powers exceeded the powers and nature of the holy God, his Creator! He was defeated by Michael the archangel and then cast down to the earth to deceive and kill God's man, causing God to say, "Woe to the earth, for the devil has been cast down to you."

The accuser of our brothers who accuses them day and night, has been hurled down to the earth. They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. (Rev. 12:10–11)

That is how man is to defeat this devil as man uses the name of Jesus and calls on the blood of the Lamb using the word of their testimony! Before rebelling, Lucifer was created to be the most beautiful being in heaven, next to God, but he allowed himself to become proud of his beauty, thinking he had more power than God! Lucifer the serpent deceived the mind and will of the woman as she continued longingly to visit the tree. The serpent had told her, "When you eat of this fruit, God knows you both will become just like God!"

That is his powerful deceit, for God had already created them in His image and likeness to be like the holy God. Eve then was told that God was holding out His goodness from them and was in this tree! After a time of contemplating this fruit, Eve finally chose to partake of this fruit! God had warned Adam, "Do not eat of the fruit of this tree, for when you do, you will surely die!" The fruit of this tree is represented by an apple but is actually the knowledge of good and evil. God had warned Adam to not eat this fruit.

You are free to eat from any tree in the garden. But you must not eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you do, you will surely die. (Gen. 2:16–17)

This tree was in the center of the garden, and the woman, Eve, after a time of daily contemplating its beauty, saw the fruit looked good to eat, and so she ate of it! She then gave it to her husband, Adam, and he also ate of it! Thus, when Adam ate this fruit, he chose to believe his wife rather than believe the holy God's command: Do not eat the fruit of this tree!

Adam Disobeys and Becomes a Slave

So Adam obeyed his wife, Eve, and he ate of this fruit. In so doing, Adam was giving his allegiance and obedience to this enemy of God: the devil. Adam did not choose
