Who’s in charge around here?
When the world seems disordered or the future uncertain, we instinctively look for strong leaders—individuals with trustworthy character, wise action and unimpeachable integrity. These kinds of leaders inspire our confidence, our trust and our dedication to make things right.
GROUP DISCUSSION. Describe the character or activities of a national or world leader—past or present—whom you admire. What does your choice reveal about your values?
PERSONAL REFLECTION. Identify a personal situation or world event that feels out of control. Then write down some characteristics of God that you want to keep in mind, and incorporate those characteristics into a prayer about the situation that concerns
