我写这本小册子是因为我收到了很多信徒的询问，有些是通过信件，有些是通过亲自拜访，他们都关心如何听到上帝的声音！ 当我第一次看到一些询问来自我认为非常成熟的基督徒的人时，我感到很惊讶。 很快我就意识到，这其实是一个贯穿所有信徒干部的问题，但却是我们各教会很少关注的一个问题！
难怪人们发现说“我的牧师说……”比说“主说”更容易！ 所以，当牧师溜走时，每个人也跟着他出轨，因为没有人能直接向主独立询问。 这很像旷野中的以色列人，他们只能听到和引用摩西的话，却不敢直接与他们的神互动。 在这个过程中，他们都因为不明白神的道而灭亡了！ 在这个末世，对于任何信徒来说完全依赖牧师是多么危险的事情啊！
当我意识到主实际上正在对这些人中的许多人说话时，我的心更加痛苦，只是他们像撒母耳一样，无法认出他的声音。 因此，他们所需要的只是有人来指导他们，就像以利对撒母耳所做的那样。 我们这个时代的伊莱似乎忙于处理其他一些问题。
如果你是那些长期在听到天父的声音问题上默默忍受痛苦的人之一，你现在应该感到高兴，因为你的需要很快就会得到满足，主自己会通过这些小条约来满足。
