When we find something to believe in, something strange happens to us. We find that a particular work, project, or idea has caught our attention to the point where we want to fully commit to it. We commit ourselves to seeing it through. It might inspire us to take up a cause or a cause-related campaign, a new role or responsibility, or a time, energy, or financial commitment.

Whatever it may be, this new issue has our interest and arouses our passion. We fully commit to what we are doing because we firmly believe in it. Even as doors close or obstacles appear, we keep moving forward. We persevere because we have faith in our dream.

The core of Christian life is faith. We acknowledge living by faith today as we have done so to be saved. But what does having faith require? What exactly does it mean to believe?

Introduction

Time with God is the finest thing to do at any time of day or night. You would be amazed at the difference spending the day with God would make, regardless of how hectic or busy your day is. God has given me the capacity to trust his word so completely through the years that it has always been a trustworthy source for me. Now when everything looked to be in flux due to that intense storm, I had to decide whether to follow my feelings or God's word.

The burning desire that individuals who are dedicated to serving God have in their hearts is known as the fire of God. This flame stokes a need for righteousness. Love, respect, and enthusiasm for God are produced through fire. The zeal and ardor of devotion are like fire. When a child of God yearns to be burned by heavenly worship for God, fire descends. It makes people want God and grow hungry for Him.
