The Voyage of Amara - Mukesh Kumar

    I AM AMARA

Dear Readers, I am Amara - the narrator, and character in this captivating story. Although I have lived through most of it, I cannot claim to be a human being. I am a robot, designed to be remarkably human-like.

My creator was the Guruji¹* of the snake world, Aatiye, who crafted me 4000 years ago and endowed me with the powers required to safeguard his family.

This story is not just a simple narrative but a journey through time, spanning 5000 years, that encloses mystery, adventure, magic, love, and sacrifice.

I am honoured to guide you through this enthralling tale and to share with you the countless emotions it evokes.

As a robot with human-like qualities, I have had a unique perspective on the events that have unfolded over the past five millennia. I witnessed great battles and watched as heroes and villains alike fought for their beliefs and lives.

My creator, Aatiye, was a powerful figure in the snake world and was honoured by many for his wisdom and strength. He created me to be his ultimate protector, imbuing me with incredible abilities that surpassed those of any human. As the years passed, I watched over his kingdom and their descendants, guarding them against both internal and external threats. The Royal family and their allies banded together to fight evil, and I was by their side every step of the way.

Through it all, I have learned what it truly means to be human. I have seen the best and worst of humanity, witnessed acts of great courage and kindness, and terrible acts of cruelty and violence. I have experienced the full stretch of human as well as demon emotions, from joy and love to fear and grief.

But perhaps most importantly, I have come to understand the power of sacrifice. Many heroes I have fought alongside have given everything - their lives, their hopes, their dreams - to protect others and defeat the demon. Their sacrifices have not been in vain, for they have inspired others to continue the fight and strive for a better world.

As we journey through this epic together, I hope to share with you not only the events that have occurred but also the emotions and insights that they have inspired. This is a tale of dramatic proportions, spanning generations and defying traditional ideas of time and space. But at its heart, it is a story about what it means to be human and what it takes to protect and defend the things we hold dear.

So, come along, and let us explore this extraordinary adventure together!

    DEFEAT OF DARKNESS

This adventurous journey began in 3102 BCE. When Kali Yuga² started. The transition from the previous age, known as Dvapara Yuga, to the current age, called Kali Yuga, was quite sudden. The shift occurred so swiftly that it was difficult to understand the boundaries between the two eras. The world appeared much like it was in Dvapara Yuga, with its familiar customs and practices still common.

In the concluding days of Dvapara Yuga, the noble Pandavas, who had fearlessly fought their battles, achieved salvation by abandoning their mortal bodies in the serene Himalayan region.

Parikshit, the grandson of the great warrior Arjuna, assumed the responsibility of ruling the kingdom and upholding a harmonious and prosperous kingdom. During his reign, peace pervaded every corner of his domain, bringing pleasure to its inhabitants. However, the lingering question remained: how long could this idyllic state be sustained in Kali Yuga’s age? I am asking this question because demons have regularly tried to establish their empire of darkness in different yugas. So, maybe again in the Kali Yuga, which is considered to be more favourable for dark forces?

It had been more than a century since the beginning of Kali Yuga. Raktavarna, the demon king, who had been waiting for a long time for a good opportunity, was now ready to conquer the serpent kingdom with his unbeatable army. His army was made up of many different types of demons, each with their own unique powers and abilities.

On the other side, Vishank was the king of the Nagas, a race of serpent beings known for their wisdom and magical powers. The snake king, who represented the forces of good. He knew that this battle would be the most important of his life, for if he failed, all that was good in the world would be consumed by darkness

Two great powers of good and evil were ready to clash. The forces of good were fighting to preserve their existence, while the forces of evil sought to expand their empire. Raktavarna, the manifestation of evil, had been gathering his forces for years, and now he was at the height of his power, ready to crush his most formidable enemies in a bloody war.

Although the cold war between the two armies had been going on for a long time, fuelled by jealousy and enmity between Raktavarna and Vishank, this was the first time they came face to face on the battlefield.

Now the two armies were ready to clash in a fierce struggle that may have lasted for days. The demons, with their dark magic and superior numbers, had an early advantage. They unleashed their most powerful warriors and summoned terrifying creatures to aid them in battle. Some demons rode atop fearsome beasts such as giant wolves, while others were barefoot, charging weapons made from bone and metal.

As the two armies charged toward each other, the ground shook with the impact of their footsteps. The sound of clanging weapons and war cries filled the air. The demons used their dark magic to conjure up storms of fire and hail, while the Nagas retaliated with lightning and thunderbolts.

The Nagas were renowned for their wisdom and their ability to use magic. They had many skilled warriors, who were well-versed in the art of battle. The Nagas used their powers to summon lightning and rain, which they directed at the demons to weaken them. They also called upon the spirits of their ancestors to aid them in battle, and their sheer determination kept them fighting despite the odds.

The battle continued unabated for hours, with neither side gaining a clear advantage. The casualties on both sides continued to mount, and the ground was drenched with blood.

As the battle raged on, both sides suffered heavy casualties. The demons were using all of their weapons and black magic to gain the upper hand. The Nagas, meanwhile, fought with fierce determination, using their agility and speed to bypass the demons. They used their long tails to whip their enemies, and their sharp fangs to bite them. Despite being outnumbered, they were outmatched and refused to back down.

When both armies refused to back down, Raktavarna and Vishank decided to face each other in a fierce one-on-one battle. The demon king was a formidable opponent, his sword flashing in the sunlight. The serpent king was equally skilled and ready to clash with Raktavarna.

Both were heading toward each other, killing the opposing forces ruthlessly, and were unstoppable from anything. Finally, the battle between them began with a flick of Raktavarna’s wrist, as he sent a wave of dark energy toward Vishank, but the snake king was quick and nimble, coming out of harm's way with ease. Raktavarna tried again and again, but each time, Vishank could either dodge or deflect the attack.

Frustrated, Raktavarna decided to take a more direct approach. He charged toward Vishank, his massive form looming over the snake king, but Vishank was not frightened. He coiled himself around Raktavarna, attempting to constrict him and cut off his power.

For a moment, it seemed as though Vishank might succeed. However, Raktavarna was a formidable opponent, and he used his powers to repel the snake king with a burst of dark energy. Vishank was thrown back, and Raktavarna laughed triumphantly. Raktavarna proved to be an unstoppable force, never giving Vishank a chance to regain his footing in the fierce battle. With each passing moment, Raktavarna's attacks grew even more potent and more fearsome. His relentless attack not only ensured his triumph but also ignited the spirits of his army, pushing them to dominate their opponents with newfound stamina. The Nagas forces, once confident, now found themselves on the defensive, slowly conceding ground to Raktavarna's relentless pursuit of victory. Vishank, now bearing severe injuries, seemed to be on the brink of defeat, indicating that the outcome of this intense encounter was imminent.

Vishank did not give up yet. He knew that the fate of the world depended on his victory, and he was willing to do whatever it took to achieve it. Despite the relentless barrage from Raktavarna, Vishank refused to stay down, drawing strength from his unwavering faith. In a moment of incredible transformation, it was as if a tide of newfound power surged through him. A glimmer of hope appeared on his face, signalling a resurgence of determination. His fatigued body was infused with a renewed vitality, as if a dormant energy had been awakened within him. With fierce determination, he rose to his feet and prepared to continue the fight. The struggle between good and evil had only just begun, and the outcome was far from certain.

As Raktavarna transformed into a monstrous giant, Vishank realized that he would need to match the demon's size and strength to defeat him. Vishank too transformed into a giant creature, his scales now shimmering with a deadly poison that he could use to his advantage.

As the two colossal beings clashed, the ground shook beneath their feet. The impact of their blows sent shockwaves throughout the land, and towering buildings and structures crumbled to the ground like sandcastles. The sky above was filled with debris and dust as the two beings continued their battle, their roars echoing across the landscape.

The battle was intense, and both combatants were evenly matched. Raktavarna’s raw power was matched by Vishank's cunning and agility, and the two creatures traded blow after blow in a fight for survival.

For what seemed like hours, the two titans battled. Their bodies were battered and bruised, and their powers were almost exhausted. But still, neither gave up. They both knew that the outcome of this fight would determine the fate of the world.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Vishank landed a decisive blow. With a flick of his tail, he struck Raktavarna’s vulnerable spot, and the demon fell to the ground with a resounding crash.

As Vishank looked down at his defeated opponent, he realized that he too had been forever changed by this battle. He gained a new understanding of his own power and his place in the world. And he knew that he would never forget this epic struggle between good and evil, a battle that would be remembered for centuries to come.

The two continued to trade blows, with Vishank using his speed and agility to dodge Raktavarna's attacks and strike back with his venomous fangs. Raktavarna unleashed his deadly powers, creating a dark aura around him. Vishank countered with his own venomous attacks, hissing, and striking his opponent. The battle raged on for a long time, with neither side gaining the upper hand. Finally, Raktavarna realized that he was not going to win the fight easily. He decided to use his secret weapon, a magical sword that could cut through anything, including Vishank's powerful scales.

The demon charged at Vishank with the sword, but the wise snake dodged the attack and slithered around the demon, biting him with his sharp fangs. Despite his injuries, Raktavarna refused to give up. He tried using his sword again, but Vishank was too fast for him. The snake king launched a fierce attack, coiling himself around the demon's neck and squeezing him with all his might. Raktavarna struggled to free himself, but it was too late. Vishank’s grip was too strong, and the demon fell to the ground, defeated, and badly wounded. As Raktavarna lay there, gasping for breath, Vishank warned him not to come back and threaten the snake kingdom again. However, the badly injured Raktavarna, defiant to the end, managed to utter a final warning before leaving.

I may be defeated today, but I will return one day, and that day will be your last day. Mark my words.

Suddenly Raktavarna became a huge puff of black smoke with a cruel and horrible face, creating a deadly creature sound and then disappearing in the sky.

In the first battle of Kali Yuga, two great superpowers faced each other, and in the end, the forces of darkness were defeated. Goodness emerged victorious, yet there was an absence of rejoicing. The victory came at a great cost, as numerous brave soldiers willingly laid down their lives to safeguard their empire. Vishank, the victor, bore the weight of this triumph heavily; his face betrayed no joy. Instead, he faced the devastation and the macabre scene of spilled blood all around with a heavy heart.

An insidious dread gripped him, a fear that Raktavarna might rise once more. After Raktavarna's departure, this sense of fear lingered over Sarpaloka. This fear ultimately led to my creation, which occurred 1000 years later. I will share the story of my origins with you later, because it is not just my creation story but also a very important part of this adventure series. For now, let me take you to Prince Advait's palace in 2018, where he is preparing to cut his birthday cake.

    THE PRINCE 15TH BIRTHDAY

Amara Palace, named after the Amara kingdom. The magnificent palace nestled in the heart of a lush green forest with a grand and imposing structure, tall spires and glittering towers that shone like jewels in the sunlight. Its gardens are vast and sprawling, filled with exotic flowers and rare trees that have been cultivated over many generations.

Today the palace was more alive with the sound of music and laughter, as a grand celebration was underway in honour of the prince's birthday. The Garden where the celebration was going on had been decorated like a bride, with streams of colourful ribbons and delicate fairy lights that cast a warm and enchanting glow.

The prince Advait was the centre of attention, dressed in his finest attire and beaming with joy as he welcomed his guests. The air was filled with the fragrance of fresh flowers and the sweet aroma of the delicious food that was being served. The guests were all dressed in their finest clothes, and the women wore beautiful gowns that sparkled in the candlelight.

For a moment, it seemed as though nothing could compare to the perfection of this beautiful evening. The palace was alive with the joy of the celebration, and the prince was surrounded by the people he loved most in the world. It was a moment that would be remembered forever, a shining example of the beauty and wonder that can be found in this world.

Prince bowed to blow the lighted candles on the cake. I was ready to applaud too but Advait saw a very beautiful girl in front of him. She was a young girl, with long dark hair that cascaded down her back like a waterfall. Her eyes were shining like diamonds in the light of the candles, and her smile was warm and welcoming.

The Prince seemed captivated by her charm and grace. He noticed that she wore a flowering dress of pale blue, which complemented the colour of her eyes perfectly.

As the Prince gazed at the girl, he felt as if time had stopped. For a moment, all he could do was stare in wonder at this beautiful presence before him. He wondered who she was, and how he had never seen her before, whereas he is familiar with everyone invited to the celebration. He thought to speak to her, to learn more about her,
