About this ebook
Another book of short poems written by me (Rohiniranjan). Random observations and reflections!
The eyes saw, the heart felt and my soul spoke. Poems emerging as perceptions of the surrounding reality.
Poems should not be read in a hurry, but like a soothing very warm cup of tea, which must be sipped delicately and enjoyed when we wake up and then face the mundane realm with a smile on our lips. Please do share your comments and reviews with me to inspire and support me. Thanks!

The Art of Poetry: A Human Endeavor
Poetry, often described as the language of the soul, has captivated human hearts for centuries. From ancient epics to modern sonnets and *prosetry*, poets have woven intricate tapestries of emotion, imagery, and rhythm. But how do humans generate poetry? What inspires these special expressions? What could be the fascinating processes behind this timeless art form.
1. Inspiration and Observation
At the heart of poetry lies inspiration. Poets draw from their surroundings, experiences, and emotions. Nature, love, loss, and the human condition serve as rich reservoirs of inspiration. A walk through dew-kissed meadows, a lover’s touch or even the thought thereof, or the melancholy of a rainy afternoon—all become seeds for poetic expression.

Language is the poet’s palette. Words are chosen meticulously, each syllable carrying weight. Metaphors, similes, and personification breathe life into verses. Rhythm, rhyme, and meter create musicality. The poet crafts lines like a sculptor shaping clay, seeking the perfect balance between meaning and aesthetics.

rippling through the forest of my heart.
3. Emotion and Catharsis
Poetry is an emotional release. It allows humans to express joy, sorrow, longing, or rage. Through verse, we confront our innermost feelings, finding solace or catharsis. Whether celebrating love or mourning a lost dream, poetry becomes a vessel for our emotional landscapes.
In the quiet of night, I weep,
my tears ink on parchment.
Each drop a memory, a prayer,
etched into eternity.
4. Cultural Context and Tradition
Poetry is deeply rooted in culture and tradition. Ancient epics, haikus, sonnets, and spoken word—all carry the echoes of their time. Poets inherit forms, themes, and symbols, adding their unique voice to an ongoing conversation. Tradition provides structure, but innovation breathes life into
