About this ebook

A fictional narrative about an individual (Chela which means acolyte a teenage soul, with interesting experiences and intriguingly unique outlook. Glimpses of living in modern reality with a foot in tradition including astrological realm! The presentation might appear a bit cryptic in places and dips into what we now know as new age. Though with a spiritual (non-religious) leaning, the main character Chela (Acolyte) is not a monk in making or necessarily on a new age or spiritual path and even seems somewhat of a healthily sceptic mildly satirical person. A story based on experiences and observations  of imaginary characters. Resemblances with anyone are purely coincidental! Hopefully it would be an enjoyable reading experience for many readers.

Approx 16600 words long.

    Prologue

These are fragments of experiences of a teenage soul ... please do not pay serious life-transforming attention! What do children really know? ;-)

But do read sincerely and with open minds if you choose to join in the journey of Chela (acolyte)...!

In places references would be found at few turns within this text pertaining to Astrology (particularly Vedic, Indian kind). Non-astrologers could skip over those without losing the trail in this travelogue.

This and several other eBooks henceforth written and published by me are especially aimed at being extremely affordable. This one is using a lighter style which hopefully makes it enjoyable to read, not necessarily from cover to cover as in the case of a novel, but also in nibbles. One may read it in most instances by dipping into a chapter almost at random and still derive enjoyment, although reading it sequentially at least once would be advantageous. One may even wish to read it a few times to further enhance their enjoyment.

Slightly satirical-sounding remarks or tone particularly referring to social media must be glossed-over lightly and not taken to heart…!

"Typos" could be significant as double-entendres; please do not dismissively gloss over those!!

    Mea Culpa, I confess!

Trying to escape from the virtual bloodbaths that have taken over all jyotish (vedic astrology) internet fora for many months, I know not why or at whose behest -- many have been blamed, publicly and privately, I succumbed to entertaining myself by watching one of the Emergency Room type medical shows on the TV. When the show was over, the following came into my awareness that I would like to share with you all, whether you like me or not after reading my blab [blog!] as I step into the shoes of Bhikaran Bee (who?) and roll out this! Can jyotish fora on internet be worse? ...

    About the Author

The Bhikaran[mendicant] lost under the street Light

Chela was always SO reckless! He came from true abundance whereas others tried to arise from spiritual penury. It was not a position of plenty in a worldly sense. Each volume of Sherlock Holmes or Lobsang Rampa later on had to come out of a meagre personal allowance. Now, it makes sense why they seemed so special and while both had flaws, today they seem so human and so close, even though neither seemed so – back then ...".

The young resident had other things on his mind! This semi-delusional bhikaran (female homeless mendicant) needed to be cared for and to be kept alive despite her blabbering and her drifting up and down dwindling vitality. For a second his attention drifted to personal reflections, Monica shall leave me for good unless I show up at her birthday today! Absence -- two years in a row is just about what this fashion designer will take!.

Even iff you weach her, beta -- fee can only giff you one effenin...!

The young resident was shocked! This delirious, filthy body that was dragged in by the paramedics seemed different. SHE ‘weached’ him, deep inside! Or was he simply bewitched by reality?

Who was calling the shots? Was it this ‘dirty’ smelly bag of barely human remains almost ready to die in front of his eyes and under his care tonight or the plane ticket that he had happened to glance at when Monica opened her shiny DARK-GREEN handbag
