When The Clock Struck 12 - Reign Nyx

    Poems

A collection of pains, regrets, happiness, what ifs, what was, and what could have been.

    When She Falls

    Let me think of you.

    As I read these pages,

    Flipping to and fro,

    Memorizing each line.

    Let me think of you

    On summer days,

    The bright sun,

    And fragrant flowers.

    Let me think of you

    In winter,

    The shivering wind

    And unforgiving snow.

    Let me think of you

    In autumn,

    The vibrant hues

    Of fallen leaves.

    Let me think of you

    In spring,

    Where flowers bloom

    And love begins.

    Let me think of you,

    In valentine,

    Heart's beating,

    Pretty loud.

My heart used to beat for one,

But now, it beats for two.

For me, and to my you.

I will love you in every season,

    In every phase;

    In highs and lows.

'Till I ran out of words.

    Reign Nyx

    I forgot the

    feeling of

    being treated right

    for so long,

    That I can't even

    understand these

    butterflies

    anymore.

    Somehow, it felt new.

    —Reign Nyx

    Let your tears go,

    Let it fall,

    Let your scream be heard,

    Shout it all.

    Let it all go,

    Be free.

    Let it go,

    And be happy.

    —Reign Nyx

The clouds were thick and grey,

    I think it'll rain.

    People wearing sweater,

    it's cold.

Time passes by like a river that flows,

You and I, eye to eye,

    hearts were close.

    Your hands on my hips,

    Like a belt, so tight.

    Your lips on my neck,

    Hmm, so tricky and right.

    Leaves were falling,

    Like a snow on evening.

    Now we're talking,

    Your smile, left me thinking.

    Your giggles brought me butterflies,

    I feel them fluttering around.

I kissed your lips, I closed my eyes,

You kissed me back, oh I'm alive.

Let me love you, my love,

Let me kiss you this cold night,

    Swear I'll keep you warm,

    To my arms, you reside.

// Let me love you //

    Reign Nyx

    Metaphor, simile and oxymoron,

Figurative language that I often use,

    Writing pieces about you.

    Giving clues

    Behind those blues.

    Hoping you'll think figuratively

    Winning me,

    Heartily.

    // You again //

    —Reign Nyx

Love is when you see not only the sunsets but also the sunrise.

Love is when you appreciate the stars, as it shines so bright around the moon.

Love is when you see the most darkest side of someone, and yet you stay.

Love is when you never give up even though you're hurt.

Love is when you hear the most terrible joke, but you laughed anyway.

Love is when you give without asking in return.

Love is when you see things differently.

Love is when you smile amidst anger, sadness, and grief.

Love is when you tell jokes while in pain.

Love is when you're happy, even with the smallest of things.

Love is when every moment feels like a  lifetime.

Love is deeper than any figurative language you can think of,

    yet easy to understand.

    // Love //

    —Reign Nyx

A beautiful bird flying so high, soaring cheerfully up there with her guy.

A pretty butterfly with ravishing wings, sucking nectars from a rose, red as your lips.

The green shrub, with beautiful white flowers, my Myrtle.

The breath-taking sunset, where the sun kisses the sea,

Oh what a beautiful sight to see,

But do you know what makes it so special?

    You,

Looking at the bird while we're walking around the park,

Pointing at the butterfly, in your mom's garden.

    And of course, the Myrtle,

A flower as pretty as your name,

I never knew what went wrong,

But I never regret loving you.

The stars are starting to appear now,

    I can only sigh...

    Oh a mosquito bit me

    Disturbing my reverie,

Oh well, I need to go.

    // reverie //

    —Reign Nyx

    I am a creature

    Longing to be seen,

    Wanting to be heard,

    Trying to be healed.

    Nights might be silent,

    I may be too.

Yet my head screams so loud,

    Bleeding, my tears are proof.

    I am a creature,

    Being tired of this cycle.

    Crying over the same thing,

    Wanting to be okay.

    Oh, my fellow creature,

    What did they do?

    Come up, be dressed,

    We might be broken,

    Yet we can be new.

    —Reign Nyx

    Thoughts Unleashed

How do you know when it's enough?

When you stop pouring on a full glass.

When you cut the excess size to fit your waist.

When you turn off the stove when the food is cooked.

When you turn off the fan 'cause it's cold enough.

    When your temperature reached 37°,

    you know that it's normal.

When you say stop to the driver,

    when you reach your place.

It's when you patiently wait for a year,

To finally harvest what you sow.

You know that the fruit is ripe, when it's yellow, and soft.

It's the best time to eat it.

It's enough when you do your best.

    It's enough when you do,

everything you can as a person,

    as someone who feels.

People come and go and it's normal.

It's not our duty to make them stay.

They have the power to choose over that kind of stuff,

    and so are you.

We can stay as we want.

We can bear it for as long as we can.

    Enduring every hardship,

    and short comings, being patient.

    But, don't depend your worth

    on someone's choice.

    Either they stay or leave—

you are important, and well valued.

    Reign Nyx

How do you know when love is gone?

    When sunsets gets pale,

    When the rain stops pouring,

    When the wind doesn't blow,

    When the trees stop growing.

It's when you walk in the
