ABOUT THE AUTHOR OF THE BOOK AND HIS OTHER BOOKS
ABOUT THE AUTHOR OF THE BOOK AND HIS OTHER BOOKSWriter-Poet: Ramazan Faruk GÜZELHe was born (1972) and raised in Turkey. He has worked for many years as a legal advisor, lawyer, and judge.Güzel, who has also worked as a journalist in various media conglomerates, holds a master's degree in communication and media. He has written books on law, politics, and Islamic history. He now resides in Sweden and is devoted to art and human rights....- List of the author's works published in our publishing house named "Nordic Publishing House":https://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/RamazanFG-The author's current YouTube channel, where he makes regular programs:https://www.youtube.com/c/tvFOCUS- Author's personal YouTube channel:http://YouTube.com/@rfgKanal**Hukukçu-Yazar-Şair: Ramazan Faruk GÜZEL1972 Konya doğumlu yazar;- İlkokulu Konya’da, orta ve liseyi Eskişehir’de,- Üniversiteyi A.Ü. Give Them a Voice so They Live - Ramazan Faruk Güzel
Starting with:
Hello! I have worked as a lawyer in Turkey for many years, worked on newspapers and TV, and written narrative books that have been published. Thereafter, I began working as a criminal judge. When I was serving in eastern Turkey, I was dismissed from my job for having acquitted a Dutch female journalist. The reason was that she had written about President Erdoğan's wife's property, and this action was an unforgivable crime for the power.
Similarly, the crime of a judge who had made such a decision was naturally unforgivable. Due to the risk to our lives, my wife and I had to leave Turkey in 2015, and we came to Sweden. Here I started writing and publishing work to contribute to the struggle for human rights in Turkey. I have published 61 books on various subjects and languages, and 18 of these were collections of poetry.
To draw attention to human rights violations in Turkey, I have also made and exhibited paintings. Because of these joint exhibitions with Amnesty, the Turkish government immediately requested my extradition through a red notice. My name was also among the first that Erdoğan requested Sweden to extradite during the process for Sweden's NATO membership.
They insisted on my extradition and placed my name on the list of the most wanted terrorists. As can be seen from official correspondences, the fundamental reason was that I had organized art exhibitions.
We already know that this regime and those in power are very afraid of and hate artists, writers, and poets. That is why the prisons are full of such people. My poems and works are dedicated to them.
"**
The starting point of this work in your hands is an art exhibition in Sweden. In the exhibition named Let Them Live!
jointly realized with the Swedish Amnesty International, attention was drawn to the conditions of sick prisoners in Turkish prisons through pictures and writings. I wanted to compile the texts and poems from this picture exhibition into a book and provide you with the opportunity to have them collectively...
In the first part of the book; I tried to briefly describe the ongoing oppression in Turkey. I attempted to touch upon the situation of political prisoner (!) patients held in Turkish prisons after the coup attempt on July 15 with a genocidal systematic approach.
In the second part; I have conveyed to you the poems and writings I penned at different times about the general experiences of the sick prisoners.
In the third part; You will find some poems about the sick, the needy, and the elderly who are still in prison. Some of the hundreds, thousands of people are exemplified with their experiences. (We could only include as many as the volume of our book would allow, though there might be many more people worth writing about.)
In the fourth part; Some of the sick prisoners who lost their lives during this genocidal process in prisons are left alone with you with their stories...
…
…
There might have been changes in some of the details and information from the exhibition that took place about 2 years ago. Indeed, obtaining sufficiently reliable information from Turkish prisons is quite difficult!
However, what is written has been presented to you as a snapshot of a period.
...
This work has been written in different languages. The purpose here is for the events occurring in Turkey to be known, learned, and for humanity to react, and initiate action to prevent more deaths in the country… As we frequently emphasize in our poems and writings; it is the hope and search that voices will be given to the victims, the silenced voices will be heard, and they will be the cause for them to live...
...
Perhaps the attention to what is happening here and the concern from people in other countries will lead to action for the victims, sick prisoners in similar situations in different parts of the world, I hope!
In the hope that someone will listen to these words, for the release of the sick from prison, for their treatments to be carried out under healthier conditions, and for their survival, we welcome you to our book.
...
Concluding the foreword with thanks:
-To my wife Hülya, who reviewed the Swedish translation of the book,
-To Mr. İsa Eraslan, who reviewed the English translation of the book,
Endless thanks.

CHAPTER 1: WHAT HAPPENED?
GETTING STARTED:
ABOUT SICK PRISONERS IN TURKEY…
A brutal witch hunt has been carried out against dissident people in Turkey for years with the regime installed with the July 15 Coup
.
In this process, which has been going on for years, hundreds of thousands of people were dismissed from their professions and were even imprisoned.
People were brutally tortured in police stations and prisons; Hundreds of people lost their lives due to this ill-treatment.
Some of these people who are kept in prison solely for political reasons are seriously ill and elderly people. Pregnant women and mothers who have just
