... - Lista över författarens verk publicerade i vårt förlag som heter "Nordic Publishing House": https://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/RamazanFG - Författarens nuvarande YouTube-kanal, där han gör vanliga program: https://www.youtube.com/c/tvFOCUS - Författarens personliga YouTube-kanal: http://YouTube.com/@rfgKanal ** ABOUT THE AUTHOR OF THE BOOK AND HIS OTHER BOOKS Writer-Poet: Ramazan Faruk GÜZEL He was born (1972) and raised in Turkey. Ramadan Fasting Verses - Ramazan Faruk Güzel

    FOREWORD

Ramadan holds deep spiritual significance for Muslims, centralizing around fasting that enhances patience, gratitude, and devotion to Allah. It also fosters community solidarity and empathy towards the less fortunate.

Beyond physical cleansing, Ramadan is a period of spiritual renewal and self-reflection, with special emphasis on Quran reading and Tarawih prayers. Eid al-Fitr, marking Ramadan's end, celebrates the spiritual journey completed, uniting the Muslim community.

-These poems reflect the spiritual depth of Ramadan, the individual and social effects of fasting, and the importance of the basic prayers of Islam.

    While preparing this book, Sunni Islamic primary sources were taken as basis. And the book consists of 2 parts;

In the first part, poems were written to answer the first questions that come to mind about Ramadan and fasting.

In the second part; The focus is on the spiritual depth of the month of Ramadan.

This section is based on the work named Book About Ramadan (Ramazan Risalesi) by the Islamic thinker Bediuzzaman Said Nursi, who grew up in Turkey.

As for the style of the book and its choice of genre:

A poetic way was preferred instead of long articles and doctrinal discussions to explain the month of Ramadan and fasting, which is an important time period for Muslims. (While doing this; We chose a relaxed style without restricting our poetic words to strict poetry rules and patterns.)

I think the spirit of the time required it. I wanted it to be a more easily understandable and concise study. I tried to support what was said with visuals; In order to increase readability... I hope we have achieved our goal. I wish everyone a pleasant and useful reading.

A final note/a thank you note:

    The book, written in three languages;

I would like to express my endless gratitude

    - to Mr. İsmet Aslan, who corrected the English version,

    - and to my wife, Hülya, who corrected the Swedish version.

A)- THE FIRST THINGS THAT COME TO MIND WHEN YOU SAY RAMADAN:

    QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS...

    To begin with:

-These poems reflect the spiritual depth of Ramadan, the individual and social effects of fasting, and the importance of the basic prayers of Islam.

While fasting develops feelings of patience, empathy and gratitude, it strengthens Muslims' ties with Allah (SWT) and encourages cooperation and solidarity within society.

Fasting serves as a means to deepen patience, gratitude, and devotion to Allah.

Zakat donations and Eid al-Fitr celebrations complete the spiritual journey of this holy month, enhancing spirituality and community feeling.-

1)- Ramadan; Is it a time of opportunity or challenge?

(Let's first explain the essence and importance of Ramadan, so that we can better understand the meaning of this holy month. And finally; We will also understand whether it is an opportunity or a burden...)

    Ramadan's Embrace

    In the moon's gentle rise,

    a holy month awaits,

    Ramadan's embrace,

    opening spiritual gates.

    A billion Muslims,

    In devotion, unite,

    From dawn till dusk,

    A fast, their plight.

    A time for reflection,

    prayer, and peace,

    When worldly desires

    are meant to cease.

    Fasting from food,

    drink, and more,

    A test of faith,

    to the core.

    When you meet a Muslim,

    during this time,

    Ramadan Mubarak,

    A greeting so prime.

    A month of charity,

    Of community care,

    A moment with God,

    uniquely rare.

    2) What is Ramadan and why fasting is so important?

(About the importance of Ramadan, why fasting is so critical and the Five Pillars of Islam... Thus; We see the spiritual depth of Ramadan, the impact of fasting on the individual, and how this act of worship creates a sense of unity and solidarity within the Muslim community.)
