About this ebook
Have you ever looked at your dog and had half a dozen questions flit through your brain?
Dogs have a history as long as humans do and in all that time, they have undergone more changes than a person might expect.
From hunting to companionship, these animals have worked alongside people for centuries. Your dog is not just personally significant to you, but culturally, they have even influenced mythologies. So, it makes sense that we have a few questions of our own. Like what does my dog's bone structure look like? Why are they barking at me in such an erratic way? And, what breeds are there really?
If you have asked yourself one of these questions, or perhaps others, then this book is for you.

Across the globe, humans collectively looked at wolves and wondered what on earth it would be like to have that enormous animal as a part of our families. So, with the domestication of the wolf we managed to get our now much more familiar and family-safe dog. Naturally, we also want to know more about our dogs. Who wouldn't want to? With that said, there are several different factors we can learn about when it comes to our dogs.
The human and dog relationship started about 130,000 years ago when we first met the Grey Wolf. Which in the grand scheme of things means humans, well, Homo Sapiens, had only been around for about 70,000 years. It almost feels like fate that we ran into wolves at all. However, it was only about 12,000 years ago that we really began to domesticate wolves to help us hunt. Now, we have dogs who take over our couches. If not humans, dogs certainly have come a long way. Of course, with domestication, certain features have evolved from wolves to dogs, including but not limited to their physical bodies.
