The Year Ahead. 2024 - Susan Miller

    ARIES (March 21- April 19)

As you enter 2024, you are coming off two very positive years. Think back to 2022, which brought the start of a new 12-year cycle, because Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, was in Aries for a full year, which extended into the first four months of 2023. Last year, you started to reap the benefits from the decisions you made in 2022. On top of that, the eclipses, which are always harbingers of change, moved into the Aries-Libra family of signs. If you were born in the third week of April, within five days of April 19, you felt that April 19 solar new moon eclipse in 2023, which was to be highly favorable for you. Even though you may have felt a bit uprooted in the process, you were heading to a better place.

Jupiter will enter Gemini on May 25, 2024, and for 12 months will herald your ability to communicate clearly and with a compelling style. The success of the rest of 2024 will be predicated on how well you hone your skills in this area. This would be an excellent time to write a book or screenplay, start an app or a podcast series, or work on any project that involves broadcasting, publishing, digital gaming, or other digital forms of communicating. Your involvement in social media can help your career this year, and if you already are active on a platform, you may want to consider utilizing a second, unfamiliar social media platform because you are sure to attract an abundance of followers as you share your expertise with others.

Meanwhile, Saturn is in your twelfth house all through this year and next, which will make it a superb time to work in solitude. If you do any kind of research that requires concentration, work done alone, do it now, and screen out the cacophony of other people’s voices and opinions. You could be on the verge of a breakthrough. This is a mild place for you to host Saturn, so you will likely accept its presence more easily than if Saturn were in a different place in your chart.

Now let’s turn to the position of Mars, your ruler, in certain key places in 2024. The year starts out with a big emphasis on your career while Mars tours Capricorn from January 4 to February 12. If you want to get a promotion, consider offers from other firms, or present an important idea to a VIP in your company or elsewhere, this is the time to do it.

The next period to watch carefully will extend from April 30 to June 8 when Mars will be in your sign of Aries for the first time in two years. This will be a very gratifying period to launch anything new in your life, from a new relationship to getting married, to buying a house or having a baby, or making a victory in your career. Having Mars in Aries is always an advantage for you, and it only happens for six weeks every two years, so make the most of it!

A day to keep your eye on is the very exciting and friendly new moon solar eclipse of April 8, with the path of totality mainly over the United States. At that time, many planets will be in Aries, and this will be a mostly favorable eclipse, suitable for launching fresh entrepreneurial ideas and for you to see the emergence of opportunities. An eclipse is the most dramatic tool the universe uses to create change, so watch for news to come out within a week of that eclipse. Were you born on or within five days of April 8? If so, then you will be doubly affected by the changes that come up, and in time, you will see all of them will bring you to where you next need to be.

Many times in life we don’t notice that we’re maturing and evolving, ready to tackle moves that just a few years ago would have been endeavors beyond our ability. Now you are ready, and you will be eager to get started. Eclipses change timetables and speed up events, so this could be an exciting time for you. I will flag one little glitch—Mercury will be retrograde April 1-25, so make your decisions slowly, and do your best to delay any important moves in April. Look at all facets of the opportunity, and announce your decision in May.

Do your best to launch your most important projects early in the year (avoiding Mercury retrograde in April and August 4-28). Mars, your ruler, is about to make a rare retrograde beginning December 6, 2024, and extending to February 23, 2025. This is a time to review the year but not to act on any new projects or relationships. It’s a time to reassess your priorities and also to go back to people and projects of the past that you would like to revisit.

You might be wondering about your prospects for romance. Venus will be in Aries from April 5 to April 29, and it’s possible that someone from your past will come back into your life to rekindle a romance. Mercury will be retrograde in Aries at that time, the reason it will be a time to look back, not forward. What develops will be up to you.

Additionally, watch for a friendly new moon in Leo on August 4 (Mercury will be retrograde once again, emphasizing a past relationship). But this new moon is one of the sweetest of the year and holds possibilities for enriching your love life. Jupiter will be close to Mars at that time, suggesting you may meet someone new on a short trip, such as at a resort not too far from home. It may be worth renting a cottage in a scenic spot where singles are known to visit. If you’re attached and have already found the love of your life (single or married), the October 2 new moon eclipse in Libra could bring exciting developments in your relationship.

In all, you can make lots of progress if you sidestep the Mercury and Mars retrograde periods this year, for Jupiter will smile on you, first by allowing you to make generous amounts of money, and then later with opportunities to travel and to communicate in a new and sophisticated way. It’s a busy year, and knowing you, I bet you can’t wait to get started!

    TAURUS (April 20 -May 20)

The past year, 2023, heralded the beginning of a whole new cycle for you because Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, entered Taurus for the first time in 12 years last May. Good-fortune Jupiter is set to stay in Taurus until May 25, 2024. The seeds you plant now will continue to pay dividends and bring joy for the next
