Divine Revelations Prophetical Narratives in Islam - Ahmed zaid

    The introduction

After the significant increase in the number of non-Muslims entering the Islamic religion, especially after the last period, which witnessed heroism from our people in Palestine in general and in Gaza in particular.

And after the world witnessed how Muslims remained steadfast and satisfied with God’s will and destiny and their steadfastness in the great Islam

It prompted many non-Muslims to read and learn what is the secret of this great stability in the Muslim faith

Which prompted many non-Arabic speakers in general to research the Islamic religion

We preferred to start with the book Stories of the Prophets because of its benefits that may encourage some people to embrace the Islamic religion if they are not Muslims. As for the new Muslim, he will have enough knowledge to know the veneration of the Islamic religion for the rest of the messengers and prophets.

As you know, one of the conditions for entering the Islamic religion is belief in God and all of His messengers, peace and blessings be upon them. And that we do not differentiate between any of His messengers

We have full respect for all of them, may blessings and peace be upon them, and we ask God to bring us together with them in His Paradise

    ––––––––

    Ahmed Zayed

    How many apostles and prophets?

God Almighty has provided for us in his great book, the Holy Qur’an, an answer to every question. It is the miracle of our master Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the seal of the messengers and prophets. Therefore, this book must be valid for every time and place until the Hour comes.

God Almighty tells us in Surah Ghafir in verse 78(And We have sent messengers before you, some of whom We narrated to you, and some of whom We did not narrate to you.)

We understand from this verse that there are messengers about whom God Almighty has informed us, and other messengers about whom we know nothing.

There is one of the companions of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, whose name is Abu Dharr. He asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, about the number of messengers and prophets, and he describes that, saying:(I said: O Messenger of God, how many prophets? He said: One hundred thousand and twenty-four thousand. He said: I said: How many messengers are there? He said: Three hundred and thirteen, a great many.)

Then according to what was stated in the Noble Qur’an and according to what we learned from the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, the number of messengers that we know is 25 prophets and messengers, and our Messenger Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, is the last messenger that God will send to all creatures.

If one of the conditions for entering Islam or for a person to be a Muslim is that he believes in all the Messengers, then how do we believe in what we do not know?

Simply put, we Muslims believe that God sent all the messengers, and we believe that there is God’s wisdom in concealing the stories of these unknown messengers, and therefore we have no choice but to surrender the matter to God and believe in what God has commanded us.

We believe in the 25 apostles and prophets in detail. As for the rest of the apostles whom we do not know, we believe in them in general.

Who are the messengers and prophets who came in the Qur’an?

They are: Adam, Idris, Noah, Hud, Salih, Abraham, Lot, Yunus, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Job, Shuaib, Moses, Aaron, Elisha, Dhul-Kifl, David, Zechariah, Solomon, Elias, Yahya, and Jesus. And Muhammad - may God’s prayers be upon them all

What is the difference between a prophet and a messenger?

There are some differences between the Prophet and the Messenger, including that the Messenger is sent by God Almighty with a new law or rulings that abrogate previous rulings.

As for the Prophet, he only has to convey the previous message

The Messenger receives revelation from heaven while he is awake and aware of those around him. As for the Prophet, there is no revelation to him. Rather, God Almighty inspires him to think about the matter or sees a good vision while he is asleep.

The Messenger is inspired by God Almighty and commands him to convey this revelation to the people. However, the Prophet is not ordered to convey the revelation to the people.

    Adam, peace be upon him

God Almighty informed His angels of the creation of Adam, peace be upon him, and God Almighty said: {Indeed, I will place a caliph on earth} [Al-Baqarah: 30]. So the angels asked God Almighty and inquired about the wisdom of creating human beings. The angels knew that among the creation were He spreads corruption on earth and sheds blood. If the wisdom of their creation is to worship God, then they worship Him. They said to God: Will you place therein someone who will spread corruption therein and shed blood while we glorify Your praise and sanctify You? [Al-Baqarah: 30] Then God Almighty answered their inquiry by saying: - Glory be to Him - He knows the wisdom that is hidden from them, for He - Glory be to Him - will create the children of mankind and make among them the messengers, the prophets, the truthful, the righteous, the martyrs, the scholars, those who work for the religion of God, and those who love Him, who follow His messengers. The Almighty said: {He said, Indeed, I know what you do not know [Al-Baqarah: 30]. ]

God - Glory be to Him - created Adam from the dust and water of the earth, then formed him in the best form

Then the spirit was breathed into him, and he was a living human being of flesh, blood, and bone. And that was on Friday. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: (The best day on which the sun rises is Friday. On it, Adam was created, on it he was entered into Paradise, and on it he was expelled from it, and the Hour will not begin. Except on Friday)_[Agreed upon] And he, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: (God Almighty created Adam from a fist that He took from all the earth, so the sons of Adam came as much as the earth, and among them came the red, the white, the black and between that, and the easy and the hard (hard). And the bad and the good) [Al-Tirmidhi].

When Adam became alive and began to move, God - Glory be to Him - taught him the names of everything, its names, and the ways to use and deal with it, including angels, birds, and animals.

And other than that, God Almighty said: {And He taught Adam all the names} [Al-Baqarah: 31] and God meant

    - The Almighty - to make clear to the honorable angels the virtue of Adam and his position before Him, so He presented all the things that He taught Adam to the angels, and said to them: {Inform me of the names of these, if you are truthful} [Al-Baqarah: 31] And they said: {Glory be to You, we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, You are The All-Knowing, the Wise} Al-Baqarah: 32

So God commanded Adam to tell them the names of these things that they were unable to comprehend, so Adam began mentioning the name of everything that was presented to him, and then God Almighty said to the angels:

Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of the heavens and the earth, and I know what you reveal and what you conceal? (Al-Baqarah: 33)

A dialogue took place between Adam - peace be upon him - and the angels. It was narrated to us by the Messenger of God - peace be upon him - and he said: God created Adam - peace be upon him - sixty cubits tall. When he created him, he said: Go and greet those - a group of angels - and listen to what they greet you. It is a greeting to your offspring. He said: Peace be upon you. They said: Peace be upon you and God’s mercy. So they added it to God’s mercy..._Agreed upon.

God commanded the angels to prostrate to Adam in honor and reverence for him, so they all prostrated, but Satan refused to prostrate, and was arrogant in following the command of his Lord, so he asked him

God - the Almighty - and He knows best: {O Satan, what prevented you from prostrating to what I created with my own hands? Were you arrogant or were you among the high?} [p. 75] Satan replied in arrogance: {I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay} [p. 76]. So God Almighty expelled him from His mercy and made him a cursed exile. God Almighty said: Then get out of it, for you are accursed, and My curse will be upon you until the Day of Judgment [p. 77-78].

Then Iblis increased his hatred for Adam and his descendants, and he swore to God that he would make evil easy for them. Then Iblis said: By Your might, I will mislead them all. Except Your sincere servants among them.} [p. 82-83] And God Almighty said to him: {I will fill Hell with you and those who follow you, all of them} [p. 85] One day Adam - peace be upon him - fell asleep, and when he woke up he found a woman sitting next to him, so he asked her. : Who are you? She said: A woman. He said: Why were you created? She said: May she rest in peace with me, so Adam was happy with her and called her Eve. Because it was created from a living thing, which is a rib

    Left Adam.

God - Glory be to Him - commanded Adam and his wife Eve to live in Paradise, eat from its fruits, and stay away from a specific tree, so as not to eat from it. As a test and test for them, God Almighty said: {O Adam, inhabit the Garden, you and your wife, and eat from it abundantly wherever you wish, but do not approach this tree, lest you become wrongdoers} [Al-Baqarah: 35]. O Adam, this is an enemy to you and your husband, so he will not expel you from Paradise and you will be miserable. You will neither starve nor be naked there. And you will never feel thirsty therein nor will you sacrifice a sacrifice.} Taha: 117-119

Satan began to think about tempting Adam and Eve, so he devised his devilish plan. To deceive them, he went to them and said: O Adam, shall I direct you to the tree of eternity and a kingdom that will not fade away?

[Taha: 120] So Adam and Eve believed Satan’s words after he swore to them, thinking that no one could swear to God falsely, and Adam and Eve went to the tree and ate.

From her.. And then the surprise happened?!!

Adam and Eve were surprised by something strange and strange: they became naked; Because of their disobedience, they became ashamed and extremely sad about their condition, so they began to run towards the trees, and began to cut off their leaves and cover their bodies with them, so he addressed God.

God Almighty reprimanded Adam and Eve: Did I not forbid you from that tree and tell you that Satan is an open enemy to you? [Al-A’raf: 22] So Adam and Eve deeply regretted disobeying God and disobeying His command, and they turned to Him - Glory be to Him - with repentance and seeking forgiveness, so they said:

    {Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy on us, we will certainly be among the losers.}

[Al-A'raf: 32] After remorse and seeking forgiveness, God accepted their repentance and supplication, and commanded them to descend to the earth and live on it.

Adam and Eve lived on earth, and began the journey of life on it.. Many children were born to Adam while he was on earth, and he disciplined them, raised them, and guided them to the fact that life on earth is a test and trial for man, and that they must adhere to the guidance of God, and beware of Satan and his harmful whispers.

The story of my son Adam:

The Holy Qur’an told us the story of the two sons of Adam when each of them made an offering to Him

God - Glory be to Him - accepted from one of them and did not accept from the other, so there was no one

This is the son whose sacrifice God did not accept, except that he envied his brother, held grudges against him, and killed him unjustly and aggressively. God Almighty said: {And recite to them the story of the two sons of Adam in truth, when they offered an offering, and it was accepted from one of them and it was not accepted from the other. He said, I will kill you. He said, God only accepts from the pious. If you extend your hand to me to kill me, I will not extend my hand to you to kill you. I fear God, Lord of the worlds. I want you to bear my sin and your sin, so you will be among the companions of the Fire, and that is the recompense of the wrongdoers. So his soul tempted him to kill his brother, so he killed him and became one of the losers.

    [Al-Ma’idah: 27-30].

When the son of Adam killed his brother, he did not know how to hide his body, so God sent him a crow to dig in the ground. So the son of Adam knew how to bury his brother, so he buried him while he was very sad because he did not know how to bury his brother’s body. God Almighty said: {Then God sent a crow searching the earth to show him how to cover up his brother’s evil. He said, Oh, my woe! I am unable to be like this crow so that I can cover my brother’s evil. So he became one of the The Regretful}_[Al-Maeda: 31] Adam continued to live among his children, calling them to God, teaching them the path of truth and faith, and warning them against polytheism, tyranny, and obedience to Satan, until he met his Lord and died after completing his mission, leaving his descendants to populate the earth and succeed him in it.
