About this ebook
When Allaah created us in the womb of our mothers, as Allaah mentioned in the Quraan: Allaah brought you out of the womb of your mothers. Each and every one of us, when we came out of this womb of our mothers, we were one of two types: We were either (may Allaah make us from them) from the righteous people (I ask Allaah generosity and kindness that Allaah makes us from those people), or from the second group of people, which we seek refuge in Allaah from, and we beg him from the bottom of our hearts that He protects us from it, and that is the path of the criminals and the wrongdoers.
In the womb of our mother's, the angel was commanded by Allaah to write a few things about the child - his provision, his lifespan (for how long is this person going to live for), his action (is he going to be from the criminals or is he going to be from the righteous people).
So, we need to flee to Allaah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) to become of the righteous people. This book describes some of the actions that we can do to flee to Allaah.
This book is largely based on Classical works such as Mukhtasar Minhaj Al-Qasidin (Ibn Qudaamah Al-Maqdisi), Ibn al Qayyim al Jawzia, Hasan al Basri, Ibn Katheer, and others (Allaah have mercy on all of them).

So Flee to Allaah - Yasir Nouman
Introduction
Praise be to Allaah! We praise Him and ask His help! We seek His forgiveness and in Him we seek refuge from the evil within ourselves! Whoever Allaah guides will not be misguided by anyone; and whosoever Allaah leads astray will not be guided by anyone!
I testify that there is no god but Allaah, the One Who has no partner and that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger.
O you who believe! Fear Allaah as He should be feared, and do not die (al-maut) except in a state of Islam. (Aal-Imran: 102)
O mankind! Fear Your Guardian Rabb (Lord). Who created you from a single person, created, out of it, his mate, and from them two scattered (like seeds) countless men and women. Fear Allaah, through Whom you demand your mutual (rights), and be heedful of the wombs (that bore you), for Allaah ever watches over you. (An-Nisaa':1)
O you who believe! Fear Allaah, and make your utterance straight forward; That He may make your conduct whole and sound and forgive you your sins. He that obeys Allaah and His Messenger, he has already attained a great victory. (Al-Ahzab: 70,71)
Admittedly, the most truthful of speech is the Book of Allaah, the Most High, and the best guidance is that of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Surely, all innovations are misguidance; and all deviations lead to Hell.
O Rabb (Lord)! Praise be to You as is befitting of the Majesty of Your Countenance and the Magnificence of Your Authority.
Allaah, the Most High says:
The seven heavens and the earth. and all beings therein declare His Glory. There is not a thing but declares His Praise; and yet you do not understand how they declare His Glory! Verily He is Oft-Forbearing. Most Forgiving! (Al-Isra': 44)
In the womb of our mother’s, the angel was commanded by Allaah to write a few things about the child - his provision, his lifespan (for how long is this person going to live for), his action (is he going to be from the criminals or is he going to be from the righteous people).
So, we need to flee to Allaah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) to become of the righteous people. This book describes some of the actions that we can do to flee to Allaah.
This book is largely based on Classical works such Mukhtasar Minhaj Al-Qasidin (Ibn Qudaamah Al-Maqdisi), Ibn al Qayyim al Jawzia, Hasan al Basri, Ibn Katheer, and others (Allaah have mercy on all of them).
According to Ibn Katheer in Mukhtasar Tafseer Ibn Katheer, the above verse: No creature in the heavens and earth but glorifies and praises Allaah. And yet you understand not how they declare His Glory!
, means that no one understands the glorification of these creations of Allaah since they have different languages. This applies to the glorification of animals, plants and all things. Al-Bukhaari reported (said) Ibn Mas’ood as saying, We used to hear the glorification of the food while it was being eaten.
Abu Dharr (Allaah be pleased with him) says, The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) picked some stones in his hand and then we heard their glorification like the buzz of the bees. The same also happened with Abu Bakr, 'Umar, and ‘Uthmaan (Allaah be pleased with them all).
Imaam Ahmad reported (said) Anas (Allaah be pleased with him) as saying, Once, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) passed by some men talking while riding on the backs of their beasts. Then he (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said,
Ride on them peacefully and leave them peacefully. Do not take them as chairs in roads and marketplaces. A man (insaan)'s beast may be more virtuous and conscious of Allaah than him."
Some of the early generation of Muslims said, The glorification of the door is its creak and the glorification of the water is its murmur.
But some scholars are of the opinion that the glorification of Allaah is restricted to living animals and plants.
‘He is Oft-Forbearing, Most Forgiving’ means that Allaah does not hasten the disobedient man (insaan) with punishment. He rather leaves him to repent. But if he insists on disobeying Him, He will seize him with the Mighty, Powerful seizure.
Fruits of desisting Sins
Ibn Al-Qayyim (Allaah have mercy upon him) says:
"Glory be to Allaah, the Rabb (Lord) of the worlds!
The one who stays away from sins will receive: dignity,
protection of honor,
security of property,
the love and respect of people,
honorable life,
comfort of the body,
strength of heart (Qalb),
satisfaction,
delight,
expansion of breast,
security from aggression,
relief,
brightness of the heart (Qalb),
the easiness of earning livelihood,
obedience to Allaah,
knowledge acquisition,
a good-reputation,
people praying (making Du`a' for him),
beauty of face,
reverence in the hearts of people,
help and maintenance of men,
removal of the alienation between him and his Rabb (Lord),
the nearness of angels,
the abandonment of jinn and human devils,
the competition among people to serve and accompany him,
the love of death (al-maut) to meet his Rabb (Lord),
great concern in the Hereafter (al-Aakhirah) to gain Allaah's Grace,
tasting the joys of obedience and belief,
Du’a’ (prayer) for him by the ones who bears the Throne and the ones around it,
the pleasure of the Honorable Writers and making Du’a’ (prayer) for him in all times,
the consciousness of heart (Qalb),
strength of belief,
an increase in their knowledge,
attainment of Allaah's Love and His Pleasure in their repentance.
These are the fruits of leaving sins in this life. When the obedient servant dies, the angels meet him with good news saying, Do not fear (anything), nor do You grieve, and have good tidings of the Garden that you are promised.
He will move from the imprisonment of this world to a garden of Paradise (Jannah) where he will enjoy until the Day of Judgment (Al-Qiyamah) (Al-Qiyamah). In addition, on the Day of Judgement (Al-Qiyamah) he will stand in the Shade of Allaah when there is no shade but His. At the end, he will be among the righteous and successful persons. Surely, that is the Grace of Allaah - He brings it to whomsoever He decides; and Allaah is the Owner of the Magnificent Grace."
O Rabb (Lord), Glory be to You! I am incapable of counting Your praises. You are as You have described Yourself! You are the One, the Everlasting Refuge, Who begets not, nor is He begotten, and there is none like unto Him.
Allaah Most High says:
And of everything We created pairs, that possibly you would be mindful. Therefore, flee unto Allaah: I am a warner to you, clear and open. (Al-Dhariyat: 49, 50)
Ibn Katheer (Allaah have mercy upon him) says, Allaah has created pairs of everything i.e., heaven and earth; night and day; sun and moon; water and land; light and darkness; belief and unbelief; life and death (al-maut); happiness and miserliness; Paradise (Jannah) and Hell... etc. This rule is correct also in animals and plants. Allaah, therefore, reminds, that possibly you would be mindful, i.e., to believe that Allaah is the only Creator, Who has no partner. Therefore, flee unto Allaah. Mankind then should return to Him and depend on Him in all affairs. I am a warner to you, clear and open. And do not make any other as object of worship with Allaah, i.e., do not associate anything with Him.
Allaah Most High says,
Only who is saved far from the Fire (Jahannam) and admitted
to Paradise (Jannah) will have succeeded: for the life of this
world is but goods and chattels of deception.
So, Flee to Allaah... Flee to Allaah
Flee to Allaah
Peace, mercy and blessings of Allaah be upon you all.
CHAPTER 1: Repentance
Allaah, the Almighty says,
Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not feel despondent of the Mercy of Allaah! "Surely Allaah forgives guilty (deeds) altogether; surely He, (only) He, is the Ever Forgiving, the Ever-Merciful. And turn penitent to your Rabb (Lord), and surrender to Him, even before the torment comes up to you, (then) thereafter you will not be vindicated. And closely follow the fairest of what has been sent down to you from your Rabb (Lord), even before the torment comes up to you suddenly while you are not aware. (Lest) any self should say 'O, for (my) in that I indeed neglected my duty towards Allaah and decidedly I was one of the scoffers. Or should say, 'If (only) Allaah had guided me, indeed I would have been among the pious (righteous) (ones). Or should say, while it sees the torment, 'If (only) I had another chance to re cur, then I would be among the fair-doers. Yes indeed! My Signs already came to you, yet you cried lies to them. And you waxed proud and you were among the disbelievers. (Az-Zummar: 53-59)
In his commentary of this verse, Ibn Katheer said: "This glorious verse is a call for all wrong-doers, Muslims and non-Muslims, to repent and return to Allaah. It is also a notification that Allaah forgives all sins for
