Archeleon and Their Willow
Once flourishing with life and prosperity, an Earth, the size of Jupiter, fell into war and ruin after a battle between cosmic beings obliterated the balance between good and evil. A blast destroyed the duplicated and re-shaped Milky Way galaxy, nearly eliminating all possible life. But Eracort, creator of the universe, was barely able to save what mattered. Saddened by losing the galaxy based on their home dimension, Eracort cried out the Ocean of Forever Reaching Waves, a cosmic sea that stretched from one end of the ever-expanding universe to the other with an endless bottom.
Eracort punished those who destroyed their work, relishing their infinite pain and suffering but feeling empty nonetheless. After eons of torture, old friends came to give Eracort their support. After many condolences and a fantastic reunion, Eracort found themself struck with inspiration; and decided to remake the galaxy yet again, this time with far more amusing twists.
After a brief explanation, one of Eracort’s allies spoke up, hoping they’d be able to take on the burden of protecting this new galaxy. Eracort was pleased with and accepted the request; in return, they offered Archeleon the Ocean of Forever Reaching Waves to be the entity’s new home. The sea-like phenomenon had unlimited energy to keep Archeleon alive for many, many eons.
As Archeleon took to the limitless ocean, Eracort used their power to make a willow tree sprout from the turtle’s shell. I can’t say how long this took, but when Eracort was done, a willow tree of galactic proportions grew from Archeleon’s back. Archeleon’s shell grew as wide as your Milky Way Galaxy; the tree stood taller than anyone could measure. The colorful leaves were filled with stars, suns, and moons; hemispherical worlds grew from the tree on vines, along branches, and even from flowers. Eracort filled the tree with many forms of sentient life once more, then ‘disappeared,’ excited to see what stories come from their newest creation. Their friend, the cosmic entity of protection, Archeleon, happily guarding the willow tree.
CHAPTER 1; Wolfwater
Wolfwater. The single most peaceful, yet dangerous city along the New York Rivers. A world where rivers separated a dozen Islands in the center of a vast ocean. New York Rivers sat on top of a leaf on Archeleon’s Willow Tree. The leaf hung over the side of a branch where if one isn’t careful, they’d fall off the edge of the world, into the universe. A sun and four moons bloomed from a vine which hung straight down, pointing at the world’s center. Wolfwater sat in the dead center of the Islands and stood proud thanks to the combined efforts of ten former mafia family heads.
One of the ancestor’s descendants was just waking up with an exhausted yawn. Antonella Giovanni Scaletta, an eighteen-year-old senior at Wolfwater Academy. She stood five foot nine with tan skin, a thin athletic build and sharp sterling grey eyes. Toni kicked off her covers with a groan and tore open the drapes around her bed.
Stai zitto!
Toni ripped the alarm clock’s plug out of the socket before chucking it across her messy room. It was six in the morning. School sucks!
She said with her thin Italian accent. Toni ran her hands through her royal purple hair, getting the mess out of her face. How bright is the sun shining?
She rolled out of bed in a baggy white tank top.
The sun-flower over this world had three levels of intensity. Medium in Spring and Autumn, low in the winter, and bright in the summer. That is how this society put together their calendars. The five moons bloomed every night regardless. The five moons bloomed every night regardless.
Toni nearly slipped on a sexy women magazine as she tried making her way to the blinds. Cazzo(shit)! Need to clean up, I guess.
Her floor was a mess, she kicked some things out of the way before finally getting to the horizontal blinds. Oh dolce Signore sopra(Sweet lord above)!
Toni cried when she let in the daylight.
A marker on the window with three bars had two lit up to inform the user about the sun’s intensity. Ugh, winter better get here quick.
Toni returned to her bed, found her phone in the lavender sheets and sent two texts. Toni pulled out a red school uniform and a pair of sunglasses from a built-in closet opposite the window.
Toni’s phone went off with a woman shouting ‘Action!’ as the text notification. Tia è già sveglia? (Tia is already up)?
Toni questioned with a smirk, recognizing the tone as one of her sister’s.
Toni opened her bedroom door and called across the living room. Buongiorno, dolce Sorella(Good morning, sweet sister! Can you go check on sorellina piccola volpe(Little sister fox)?
The bedroom door opposite Toni opened to reveal the middle sister, Tia Waiola Scaletta. Tia was a black eighteen-year-old who stood seven feet tall, she was fit with a curvy physique, and what stood out most was her thick dreadlocks. They reached down to the floor but were pulled into a braided ponytail that kept them at ankle level. Tia had goggle tan-lines around her hazel eyes, her two front teeth were replaced with gold ones, and a tribal sun tattoo was on her left shoulder.
Tia was adopted many years ago into the Scaletta family from Paradise Islands. Toni was the only biological heir to the Scaletta Family Boss, Giovanni. No problem, big Sis!
Tia said with a kind smile. Tia wore the red uniform Toni held, though Tia had slacks whereas Toni was gonna put on a skirt.
Tia disappeared into her room to grab her backpack and ran out to the living room. The Northmost wall had an extensive built-in entertainment system. Movies from every generation and genre lined the shelves.
I’m having a Robin Williams Marathon tonight!
Tia announced to her big sister’s bedroom door. She heard Toni say something but shrugged and turned away. Just lettin’ ya know!
Tia went to the Southern part of the apartment, walking through what would be the dining room and out the front door of Penthouse 1B. She looked around the beautiful purple, red, blue, and gold decorated apartment. Her Father believed the Scaletta family to be of royal blood and wanted them to feel just as important. She couldn’t help but smile and shake her head. Dad and Toni’s obsession with purple is weird.
She walked across the hall to Penthouse 2B and knocked.
After a couple moments, the door opened a little with the chain still locked. Hello?
Came a hushed voice.
Tia looked away from the door. The potion wore off? Took longer than last time, didn’t it?
The small person behind the door confirmed with a nod. I’ll be out in a moment.
Take your time, Foxy.
Tia turned back to her sister’s door. I’ll let Toni know you’ll be over soon.
Can you tell her about…?
Foxtail opened the door a little more. His small fox hybrid body was shaking in a uniform like Toni’s, skirt and all. Well… this?
He motioned to the body he detested.
No prob.
Tia didn’t
