These itineraries also provide information about accommodation and their website. We present an itinerary of 22 days, with approximate expenditures, links for booking hotels, transportation, etc. I am providing information both in word format as well as Excel format.

The places, those will be covered in this book are Bangalore, Hampi, Bijapur, Badami, Aihole, Pattadkal, Hanagal Kumarswami Temple, Mahakuta, Kudalasangama, Mysore, Shravanbelagola, Belur, Halebidu, Tungabhadra, Nisargadhama, Thalacauvery, Mangalore, Udupi, Dharmasthala, Madikeri, Murudeshwar, Chitradurga fort and so many other places.

We have proposed Bangalore as the starting point of the tour. We have chosen "Karnataka State Transport Corporation" for many conducted tours from Bangalore, Mysore, and Vijapur. The buses used in these guided tours are excellent and comfortable. Places where they stop for breakfast and lunch, are Tourist Bungalows belonging to the Karnataka tourism department, and they provide excellent food. Day-by-day itinerary, booking of hotels/ apartments of rating of at least 7 out of 10, and cost of the stay for four persons have been provided. To keep the expenditure as low as possible, we have used the Indian railway for transportation. We have provided 2-tier AC accommodation, wherever possible, otherwise 3-tier accommodation. We have utilized a Local Taxi Service in the tourist spots to avoid unnecessary time wastage.

Readers will easily and directly access the included itineraries through an easily accessed link provided below each of the itineraries. The link will open a Google spreadsheet for you. You may download a copy on your computer or mobile to modify it at your own pace and preference.

Glimpses of Karnataka and Sample Itinerary - Ansusekhar Guin

Chapter 1: Introduction: Glimpses of Karnataka and Sample Itinerary

Are you planning a trip to India? If yes, you should take the help of these samples of travel plans. This volume gives some pictorial trips to Karnataka's popular and off-beat tourist spots, including world heritage sites. It shows the arrival & departure time, details on the type of transport, the destination, activities while reaching the destination & so on, and also the mode of travelling along with the method of transportation and name of the travel companies. In addition, they carry details of the vehicles to be used for transportation, including the start and destination times. These itineraries also provide information about accommodation and their website. After visiting our travelogues on YouTube and reading our posts on Facebook and our travel books, many of my subscribers have requested sample itineraries of different travel destinations. Therefore, we present an itinerary of 22 days, with approximate expenditures, links for booking hotels, transportation, etc.

For me, there is nothing like luxury travel. Travel is, by default, a luxury. However, discovering unknown places inspired me to get out, see the world, and enjoy the benefits of travelling. So, with my small endeavour, I have tried to teach my readers some ideas of exploring, dreaming, and discovering.

St. Augustine once wrote a famous quote:

The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page.

Also, there is another quote by Sandra Lake which says, With age comes wisdom. With travel comes understanding.

Lao Tzu once said, A thousand-mile journey must begin with a single step.

We live in a fantastic world full of beauty, charm, and adventure, and unless you go out, how can you discover those things. So, in my little effort, I have tried to remove the fear of travelling through sample itineraries. So please jump in and start your journey and enjoy the world. And I never say, A good traveller has no fixed plans, and good planning saves you from harassment.

When preparing for a trip, we research items all over the internet. We review several articles and blogs to gather enough information to ensure that we can prepare ourselves for that city or country.

For any successful budget travel, sound planning is a must. We plan our visit at least six months before our visit starts. Then, we fix our budget and select the best places we want to visit. For planning our visit, we find out the details of the following points.

We visited Karnataka several times. Karnataka has a long history and varied geography. There are numerous spots of interest for tourists, like ancient sculptured temples, beautiful modern cities, scenic hilly areas, forests and beaches. Karnataka is the fourth most popular destination for tourism among the states of India. Karnataka has India's second most nationally protected monuments, second only to Uttar Pradesh.

Additionally, the State Directorate of Archaeology and Museums protects 752 monuments. Karnataka has 25 wildlife sanctuaries and five national parks. Bandipur National Park, Bannerghatta National Park and Nagarhole National Park are the most popular. Karnataka has two UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Hampi and Pattadkal. The most popular tourist destinations in Karnataka are the Cave temples of Badami, the Rock-cut Temples of Aihole, the Hoysala temples of Belur and Halebidu, Gol Gumbaz and Ibrahim Rauza in Bijapur, the monolith of Gomateshwara at Shravanabelagola and many more.

Karnataka is famous for its Waterfalls, like Jog Falls, Gokak Falls, Unchalli Falls, Magod Falls, Abbey Falls and Shivanasamudra Falls.

The places we will travel to are shown on Google Maps.
