    OPEN

    Ext. Paddy’s Pub. (View of the pub)

    Int. Paddy’s pub. Dennis behind the bar. Charlie and Frank walk in. Charlie has aluminum poles and a grayish blue canvas bundled under his arms.

    DENNIS:

    What is that?

    CHARLIE:

    A tent.

    DENNIS:

    It’s a couple of rusty poles and a towel.

    CHARLIE:

    (Indignant)

    It’s my tent.

    DENNIS:

    No. There’s no way that thing even stands up.

    CHARLIE:

    I’ll put it up right now! 

    DENNIS:

    Please do!

    CHARLIE:

    I will!

    (then, looking around)

    I just need a couple rolls of duct tape.

    Opening credits: The Gang Goes Camping.

    Int. Paddy’s pub

    Enter Mac and Dee.

    MAC:

    What the hell is that? 

    DENNIS:

    It’s Charlie’s tent.

    Charlie:

    (Interrupting)

    —It’s a tent! 

    DEE:

    Oh, I thought they were dry walling the hole again.

    DENNIS:

    (to DEE) 

    We’re done dry walling the hole.

    FRANK:

    (to ALL) 

    Charlie and I are considering living on the land for a while.

    DENNIS:

    What land?

    FRANK:

    You know, parks, golf courses, commercial landscaping. Last night we camped on a nice piece of dirt by the river. 

    CHARLIE:

    You meet some good people out there. Fellow outdoorsmen you know.

    DENNIS:

    Homeless people!?

    CHARLIE:

    No they’re real survivalists. Campfires, canned beans, wild game...

    DENNIS:

    What wild game? Do you mean Rat!?
