    Reflections

As I reflect on my life . . . wait a minute, did I just say that? Now that’s hysterical. Here I am, a twelve-year-old girl from the Midwest, and I’m reflecting on my life? Twelve-year-olds don’t do that. They look at the todays and think about the tomorrows. It’s too early to think about yesterdays.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I do think about the todays and tomorrows, and my days are very busy. But I’m not like most twelve-year-olds, and after everything that has happened to me since I was four, reflection is certainly in order from time to time.

By the way, for those of you who don’t know, my name is Sienna. So much had happened to me in the four years between being four to when I turned eight, that I could probably write a book about it. Oh my! Come to think of it, I did write a book about it.

Did you read it? I sure hope so! But just in case, here’s a quick summary of those extraordinary four years. (You can always go back and read the entire story.) And as for the time since then, you’re going to read about at least part of it soon in this book. And let me tell you, it’s even more exciting than my first story.

Going back to the beginning of my story: When I was four years old, I took the most important trip of my life. Well, it was the only trip of my life at that point. That trip was to Disney World with my parents. That was where I met Mickey and Minnie Mouse and experienced the magic of Disney.

That trip was when I fell in love with mice. Over the next four years, my life changed forever. I met a kind older man named Walter. Thanks to Walter, I became the proud owner of Mia and Skipper, two very special magical mice. I didn’t know they were magical at the time, and I also didn’t know that Walter was a wizard. All I knew was that they became part of my life.

You can imagine how surprised I was to learn that I had two magical mice as pets. Not only could they do very special tricks, like bow, count, and open the number lock on their cage, but could send me messages that I heard in my head. They told me about problems with the animals at my uncle’s pet store. And they told me when my school bus would be late
