About this ebook
A 300 collection of sonnets based on Astronomy Topics - 100 Topics, 3 poems each.
Inspired by my Grow Your Vocabulary Dictionary Series.
Amidst the dark expanse of endless space,
Where stars doth twinkle in their brilliant light,
There lies a muse of cosmic grandeur, grace,
Whose verse doth sparkle like the stars at night.
The astronomer, with keen and watchful eye,
Doth scan the heavens for a sight divine,
And as he gazes up at starry sky,
His heart is filled with wonder, awe, and shine.
The poetry of space, in every hue,
Doth speak of mysteries yet to be found,
Of planets far beyond our earthly view,
And secrets that in time may yet astound.
Oh, astronomy, thy poetry doth shine,
As bright as stars that twinkle in the sky divine.

Thank you
I want to thank my lovely daughter Kaylin. I love you to the moon and back. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. You keep me going.
I want to thank my mother who have done so much for us. Words could ever be enough!
To a great friend Katharine, you have always been there for me to the moon and back. You have been like a second mother to me, and I will treasure your friendship forever. I cannot wait to drink cocktails with you on the beach!

Supernova
In boundless night, where starry hosts convene,
A cosmic dance, a stellar scene unfolds,
A life once grand, a fate now unforeseen,
A supernova's tale, the sky foretolds.
Celestial opus, born of fire's embrace,
A gilded orb through eons cast its light,
Yet time doth steal away its youthful grace,
And whispers of its final, fervent flight.
The death throes quiver, shuddering in space,
As fiery blooms explode in brilliant hues,
A blinding flash outshines the night's embrace,
Its echoes heard in silent, darkened blues.
Thus ends the reign of this celestial king,
Yet from its dust, new life shall surely spring.
Upon the dark expanse of night it gleams,
A cosmic spectacle of grand design,
A stellar death, a wondrous burst of beams,
A supernova, in its final shine.
Its brilliance pierces through the blackened space,
A burst of light that spans the universe,
A cataclysmic end to its embrace,
As particles disperse, they disperse.
A fleeting moment, but forever marked,
In remnants scattered far and wide,
The death of stars, a cosmic work of art,
A testament to nature's changing tide.
Oh supernova, beauty in your fall,
A sight to behold, a wonder for us all.
A supernova, a star's explosive end,
A brilliant flash, that lights up the night sky,
A final burst, of energy to spend,
And leave a legacy, that will not die.
It shines so bright, a beacon in the dark,
A celestial fire, that burns so bright and hot,
And in its wake, it leaves a shimmering mark,
A sign of life, that once was, but is not.
And though it's gone, its light will still be seen,
A reminder, of the power of the stars,
And in its wake, new life will interweave,
A cycle of birth, and death, and endless scars.
So here's to thee, oh supernova bright,
A fiery end, a legacy of light.
A Billion Stars
A tapestry of black, enwoven bright,
A billion stars, they shimmer in the void,
A cosmic waltz, they dance throughout the night,
Their stellar radiance, we're overjoyed.
In patterns intricate, their stories blend,
Of constellations drawn, and myths retold,
The secrets of creation, they portend,
A universe of wonders to unfold.
These celestial orbs, they stoke our dreams,
And urge us forth to realms unknown, uncharted,
Their distant glimmers, countless worlds it seems,
United by a sky, where hopes are started.
A billion stars, a symphony of light,
We stand in awe, beneath their endless flight.
Oh billion stars, that twinkle in the night,
A tapestry of light that fills the skies,
A wondrous sight, that leaves us in delight,
And sparks within us dreams that soar and rise.
Each one a sun, a center of its own,
A burning ball of plasma, fierce and bright,
A cosmic gem, in which we might have known,
A world that's teeming with life's brilliant light.
They form the galaxies, that spin and swirl,
In vast expanse, that spans the universe,
A cosmic dance, in which they all unfurl,
And light our path, as we try to traverse.
Oh billion stars, you fill us with your grace,
And give us hope, as we seek the cosmic space.
A billion stars, a celestial sea,
With twinkling lights, that fill the night sky,
Each one a sun, in its own galaxy,
And together, they light up the sky high.
They shine so bright, a symphony of light,
With patterns and shapes, that we can see,
And though they're far, they're always in sight,
A reminder, of the beauty that can be.
For every star, is a world of its own,
With secrets and mysteries, waiting to be known,
And in their light, we find a way home,
To the wonders, of the universe we've grown.
So here's to thee, oh billion stars so bright,
A celestial sea, a sky of endless light.
Black Hole
In realms unseen, where light itself resists,
A cosmic maw, the black hole doth reside,
A heart of darkness, gravity persists,
In depths unfathomed, space and time collide.
A singularity, a point concealed,
Where matter's crushed, and rules no longer stand,
A paradox, an enigma revealed,
A cosmic riddle, born of time's own hand.
Yet from this void, a beacon of despair,
A jet of energy, a quasar bright,
A testament to forces, yet unclear,
A cosmic dance, in balance, day and night.
O Black Hole, thou art a mystery,
A cosmic siren, in the darkened sea.
Oh black hole, a cosmic mystery,
A singularity of infinite weight,
A force so strong, it bends all history,
And challenges our notions of fate.
A monster that devours all in sight,
A gravitational pull that's so extreme,
A place where even light cannot take flight,
And reality becomes a mere dream.
In you, the laws of physics are defied,
As time and space are warped beyond all sense,
A place where everything is amplified,
And matter's essence is beyond pretense.
Oh black hole, a place of purest night,
You hold the secrets of the cosmic might.
A black hole, a void, so dark and deep,
A singularity, with gravity so strong,
It bends the light, and pulls all things to sleep,
And holds secrets, that have yet to be long.
It's a place of darkness, with no return,
Where matter and energy, are crushed and lost,
And yet it holds, a fascination that we yearn,
A mystery, that's waiting to be the cost.
For black holes, are more than what we see,
They're a gateway, to the mysteries of space,
And in their pull, we find a chance to be,
A part of something, greater than our race.
So here's to thee, oh black hole so deep,
A void of wonder, a mystery to keep.
Gravity
Invisible, yet present, thou dost bind
The cosmic dance of planets, moons, and stars,
O Gravity, the force that shapes and mars,
In gentle hands, the Universe confined.
From humble seeds of dust, thy pull gives birth
To swirling galaxies, and suns ignite,
Creating realms of day and realms of night,
A testament to thy celestial worth.
Though bound by thy embrace, we dare to soar,
Defying thee with wings of human thought,
In steel and fire, our freedom has been wrought,
To pierce the heavens and forevermore.
O Gravity, thou sculptor of the skies,
Enchant our dreams and ever mystify.
Oh gravity, a force that's ever-present,
A cosmic glue that holds the universe,
A power that can keep the planets crescent,
And shapes the cosmic landscape, for better or worse.
You pull us down, with steadfast force so true,
And keep us rooted on this earthly plane,
A force that governs all we say and do,
And keeps us from floating into space in vain.
From black holes to galaxies so vast,
You shape the cosmos with your unseen hand,
A force that's felt from first to very last,
And governs all that's in this cosmic land.
Oh gravity, a force that's so profound,
You shape the cosmos with your cosmic bound.
Gravity, the force that holds us all,
A pull so strong, it shapes the universe,
With a power so vast, it can make us fall,
And secrets waiting, for us to traverse.
It's a measure of weight, with a story untold,
Of planets and stars, with a dance so grand,
And though it may seem weak, from far away,
It's a wonder, that's beyond compare.
For gravity, is more than just a force,
It's a symbol, of the universe's vastness,
And in its pull, we find a way to soar,
A part of something, greater than our best guess.
So here's to thee, oh gravity so strong,
A force of wonder, a beauty so long.
Solar Eclipse
O rarest sight, when shadows mask the skies,
And Luna, bold, obscures her golden kin,
The dance of spheres, a cosmic waltz, begins,
As Sun and Moon in dark embrace arise.
In somber hue, the day is cloaked, enshrouded,
As solar splendor hides behind the night,
A fleeting glimpse of astral union's might,
In awe, we stand, our hearts bewitched, astounded.
Yet, soon the dark shall yield, and light restored,
As gleaming tendrils pierce the ebon veil,
The Sun reclaims its throne, and shadows pale,
A
