About this ebook
Human is an unfathomable one, is a widely accepted and oft repeated maxim. But why do we declare and celebrate our status as an unfathomable one? Why should human, unlike all the other forms of life, possess such a destructive trait? I think, we need to ask such a question, if not coming up with an answer. I know, there are many, who are always there with remedy for it. Perhaps, we are deriving benefits out of our unfathomableness. We need to identify those and prescribe remedies for it.

I think, human is an unfathomable one, is a widely accepted maxim. But, why do we declare and celebrate our status as an unfathomable one? Why should human, unlike all the other forms of life, possess such a destructive trait? Significantly, so far, I haven’t come across anyone asking such a question, leave alone an answer, though there is no one of some reckoning, who does not have a ready remedy for it. Perhaps, we are deriving benefits out of it. Since, effectively, our unfathomable status is but an excuse that can ratify any act, how-much-ever unreasonable, dangerous, irrational, or even self-destructive, for no rhyme or reason.
Coming from an intelligent one, this certainly is an enigma, to say the least. Think of the way we confront issues, whether of plants, animals, or of things without life. We take pride in acting rationally, the aim always being one of finding the best answer. The same is also the path we take, when the matter pertains to life other than ourselves.
So, our character is oriented unfathomably, only on matters concerning ourselves. There has to be a reason for it. I think, we are unable to sense and locate it, since we celebrate with abandon, all that comes out of it.
Let me now start a trip to the bottom of the issue, and locate the culprits that are probably hiding there.
Chapter 1
The Enigmatic Human
All of us are treasuries of common sense. Or so, we think. For, I have never come across anyone who seeks more of it. We also hold in abundance, many other virtues of the modern world like adaptability, scientific temper, or an open mind, or at least, we try to be so, when confronted with an issue belonging to the material plane of life. We analyze the issue, weigh alternatives, formulate action plans, monitor performance, learn from mistakes and update ourselves from the experience gained. If we are not capable enough to do it, we
