About this ebook
In the heart of the rugged Appalachians lies the desolate town of Cedar Hollow, shrouded in perpetual mist and haunted by the echoes of forgotten lives. One fateful night, a group of strangers awakens in the dilapidated ruins of an old church, their minds blank slates devoid of memories. Confusion turns to panic as they realize they have no recollection of who they are or how they came to be in this remote wilderness.
Among them is Emily, a young woman plagued by ominous dreams of shadowy figures and whispered secrets. As the group struggles to piece together their fractured pasts, they discover cryptic clues scattered throughout the town, hinting at a dark conspiracy that binds them together. But with each revelation, they uncover more questions than answers, and trust becomes a scarce commodity among the fractured group.
Haunted by the eerie silence of Cedar Hollow and the sinister presence lurking in the mist, Emily and her companions must confront their deepest fears and darkest secrets before they are consumed by the malevolent force that controls their fate. Along the journey, they encounter twisted remnants of the town's forgotten history—a deranged hermit whispering prophecies of doom, a dilapidated asylum hiding unspeakable horrors, and the chilling specter of a long-buried tragedy.
As tensions mount and alliances fracture, Emily discovers that their amnesia may be more than just a coincidence—it may be the key to unlocking the town's darkest secrets. But with time running out and the shadows closing in, Emily must confront the truth of her own past and the horrifying revelation that some memories are best left forgotten.
In a race against time, Emily and her companions must unravel the sinister conspiracy that binds them together and confront the malevolent force that lurks in the shadows of Cedar Hollow before they become nothing more than the forgotten ones, lost to the darkness forever.

Awakening in the Mist

mily's eyes fluttered open, greeted by a dim haze that obscured her surroundings. Disoriented and groggy, she tried to sit up, but a wave of dizziness washed over her, forcing her to lie back down. Panic fluttered in her chest as she struggled to make sense of her situation. Where was she? How did she get here?
Slowly, Emily's senses began to sharpen, and she became aware of the cold, hard surface beneath her. It felt like stone. She reached out tentatively, her fingers brushing against rough, weathered brick. Confusion mingled with fear as she realized she was lying on the floor of a crumbling building. But where?
––––––––
Pushing herself into a sitting position, Emily blinked away the fog clouding her mind and took in her surroundings. The room was dimly lit, the only source of light filtering through cracks in the decaying walls. Dust danced in the air, stirred by a faint breeze that whispered through the broken windows.
Emily's heart pounded in her chest as she scanned the room, her eyes falling on the others scattered around her. There were nine of them in total, each just as bewildered as she was. Some were sitting up, while others lay still, their faces twisted in confusion and fear.
Hello?
Emily called out, her voice echoing off the walls. Is anyone there?
Slowly, the others began to stir, their movements hesitant and uncertain. Adam, a rugged man with a furrowed brow and piercing eyes, was the first to sit up, his gaze sweeping the room in search of answers. Sarah, a young woman with a determined expression, followed suit, her eyes narrowed with suspicion.
What's going on?
Adam demanded, his voice rough with urgency.
No one had an answer. They were all strangers, brought together by some mysterious force that none of them could comprehend. As they struggled to piece together their fractured memories, a sense of unease settled over
them like a shroud.
Emily's head throbbed with the effort of trying to remember, but all she could recall were fragments of dreams—ominous whispers, shadowy figures lurking in the mist. She shook her head, trying to dispel the lingering sense of dread that clung to her like a second skin.
We need to get out of here,
