    The Veil Torn

    Chapter 1——————Who would have known

    ––––––––

His eyes were fixed on the sky as he watched it fall. She stood back, sipping gin and crunching ice cubes. Pieces fell in odd colors from the sky, but no change of expression on her face seemed evident. Man, how did it get this far? It seemed like only a few weeks ago that things were normal, and now this. He was impressed with how she was taking it. Inside, he was losing it. The sky's falling; what do we do? He got himself awake. What the hell kind of dream was that? The sky was falling; who is this girl drinking gin? Anyhow, he had to get up because he had a big presentation today on a new product he had been working on for a long time. It was the biggest product he had, and he wasn't sure what to share with the council, but his friend insisted that he do so. He said, This is the one people will remember you for, so he talked him into it. His dreams since then had been terrible and always ended with crazy end-of-the-world scenarios. Finally, he got his stuff together and was out the door and on his way. The ride in was, eh, the same as usual—nothing eventful, except one thing—it was so fast he wasn't sure he saw what he saw. At a traffic light, he was looking straight ahead when, out of the corner of his eye, he saw the girl from his dream in the passenger seat. He thought he was still shaking off the morning dregs. Other than that, the drive-in was nice. His stomach was turning, though he didn't want to do this. He was this far, and the appointment had been made. What he was about to show these people was not big. It was about the size of a shoebox, but what it could do would blow their minds. He still wasn't sure what it could do, but the deadline was here, so here he was. When he walked through the door, he could smell the bullshit right away. He noticed a huge decanter of whisky over in the corner with some glasses.

His friend saw him look over there and shook his head. No, that's not how it's going to be. But that wasn't how Ramos felt about it. They'll need a drink for this, he thought. So Ramos piped up, Gentlemen, we'll need a drink to help with this information. I'm sure you'll agree that we've made the correct decision when I'm done.

Also, I've noticed that when you have a drink with someone, the guard lowers, and people let go of their inhibitions and get real. Because it's about to get surreal, there needs to be a ground.

Following a few drinks, one of the council members spoke up: You've built up quite an air of mystery around this. We're eager to see if it lives up to the hype. It was time.

Council, I come before you with a box, and this box can tear the veil, sirs. Not only a tear but a doorway. Now, I know it doesn't sound as exciting as it is, but when I've shown you, you won't believe your senses.

I'll take one council member at a time, as each of you will have a unique journey. This will give everything validity. There are still a few things, but we're tearing the veil between our 3D and 4D worlds. Interestingly enough, in structure, they're similar yet vastly different. It has a perceived atmosphere, and we can travel in this atmosphere as a satellite does in ours. It's hard to explain. Kind of like an egg, our dimension is the shell, and the fourth is all the inside. So, who would like to go first? Ramos asked.

A lean, tall gentleman got up with a hard face and soft eyes, looked at him straight in the eye, and said, Me, I'd like to go first.

Okay, Ramos told him to come to where he was standing. Ramos turned on the box, and the lights went out. This is normal; it shuts down all electrical signals in the room of origin, Ramos said. The tear appeared, and they were all speechless. Keep watching, he said. In about 1 minute, it
