    QUEENS, NEW YORK CITY, 1974.

    Hi, there.  You’re parked in my space.

    I paid for it.

    I could buy this building today, kick all of you deadbeat renters to the curb, where you belong, tear this rat-trap down and build a shopping mall.  I could make a call to the IRS and have them audit you every year, for the rest of your useless life.  I could call the District Attorney, he’s a good friend of mine, and tell him to trump up charges on you and have your Morlock ass thrown in jail for, again, the rest of your useless life.

    Trying to be civil, I said, Gotta give you credit for that reference, sir.  The Time Machine is one of my favorite movies.

    Go to hell.  I’ll be an hour or so.  You can wait.  Take a nap.
