Husband and Wife

Lynette jumped into her husband’s arms, covering him with kisses the moment he walked through the door. You’re late!

Preston laughed as she kissed his cheek, his chin, his neck. If this is the greeting I get, maybe I’ll be late more often.

She kissed his nose, then said, They came.

Preston’s strong jaw clenched, which wasn’t at all the reaction Lynette had expected.

Our scripts for Tortured Hearts, she said, to clarify. The play we’re starring in… for Little Theatre? Don’t tell me you forgot about it.

His broad shoulders slumped as he inched past her. No, no, of course not. How could I forget?

Lynette swivelled around to watch him go. And watching her husband go was as delectable as watching him come. As he retreated to the kitchen, Preston’s butt looked so tight and masculine she wanted to drop to her knees and take a bite. One bite from each cheek! Yes, he was just that yummy.

Were all wives this attracted to their husbands after seven years of marriage? There’s that whole seven year itch thing you hear about, but Lynette had never experienced it. As far as she knew, neither had Preston.

She followed him into the kitchen and found him hunkered in front of the open refrigerator. Smacking his butt, she asked, What can I get you?
