About this ebook

A touch of love encounters one woman's personal journey and search for of finding God Pamela Benner shares her experience with a heart of sincerity and truth. Her hope is that a touch of Gods immense love moves you from a general, vague idea to a sweet and personal experience. Once the fountain of the God's love is open, you'll find yourself stepping into new streams of gratitude, contentment, joy, and security. Here are some Biblical examples of how God clearly and convincingly displays his love to us. God's attributes--including love--aren't like human traits that strengthen or weaken nor are they like moods that come and go. God is all of his attributes perfectly, all the time. And yet, we still struggle to believe it can be true, that this great love can love us unconditionally. A touch of love will heal your soul.

    The Good News

    Chapter 1

    The Start of Your Journey

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you and leads me along the path of everlasting life. Salvation is a gift given to the Jews first and then to the Gentiles. God's mercy and salvation is for everyone. Jesus's greatest joy in life was to give his life so that the Scriptures would be fulfilled. Here is an object lesson that will show you the value and the price that was paid in full on the cross of Calvary and will hopefully touch and change your heart for all eternity.

The Good News is Jesus paid the price for our physical suffering. There was nothing majestic or beautiful about Jesus, and his appearance was far from the element of attractive by any standard.

The Good News is Jesus paid the price for our emotional guilt. He was a man of many sorrows who was acquainted with grief, rejection, and hatred. The beatings he received were inflicted upon him so that we might have peace.

The Good News is Jesus paid the price and became the object of God's judgment and punishment. Jesus took the thirty-nine lashes before hanging on the cross so we could be healed! All of us have strayed like sheep and left God's path to follow in our own desires. But it was God's good plan to crush him and fill him with grief beyond our comprehension so that his life would be made an offering for our sins.

The Good News is Jesus paid the price and suffered the separation from his loved ones and those he had close bonds with here on earth, such as his disciples, Mary Magdalene, and his very own mother. Jesus demonstrated his love and obedience for his Father and to his closest followers by hanging on a Roman cross.

The Good News is Jesus paid the price for and suffered betrayal because Jesus honestly shared the revelation knowledge about who the Father was, yet all those with whom he had shared the gospel stood at the foot of the cross and watched him die. Jesus was spat upon and harassed by words spoken to him, yet he never opened his mouth. He remained silent like a sheep before his shearers and, like a lamb, was led to the slaughter. From prison to trial, he was led away to his death.

The Good News is Jesus paid the price for the whole man (spirit, soul, and body) as all the sins (from generation to generation) were placed upon him. The wrath of God's judgment came upon Jesus to deliver us, and that is why Jesus said, It is finished! Jesus was the final sacrifice. Jesus paid the full price for the sins of mankind. He was wounded and crushed for our transgressions. He carried our weaknesses, and it was our sorrows that weighed him down. He became the sacrificial lamb as they pierced his body while he hung on a cross.

The Good News is Jesus paid the price for and suffered abandonment because he openly communicated with God the Father. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the world, God had to turn his face from Jesus and forsake him because he couldn't look upon the sins of mankind. Jesus wanted everyone to believe in him so that they could come to the knowledge of the truth and be in right standing with God. Jesus took the cup of suffering for our sakes and paid the full price for our disobedience and sin.

The Good News is Jesus paid the price for and suffered rejection by the Romans, the religious leaders, and the Jews. Those who sentenced Jesus to death actually believed that his troubles were a punishment from God for his sins. Jesus suffered at the hands of the leaders, the leading priests, and teachers of the religious law.

The Good News is Jesus paid the price for and suffered persecution when he hung upon the cross as a sacrificial lamb, silent before his executioners while shedding his blood. Although Jesus was the exact representation of the Father, many people didn't believe that he was telling the truth. He had done nothing wrong and had never deceived anyone. Jesus's heart was to do the will of his Father in heaven and to bring others into a personal relationship with the Father through his death.

Jesus ultimately died of a broken heart. Jesus Christ paid the price in full for the redemption of mankind, and better than that, he openly displayed how mankind had broken his heart. Yes, we live in a fallen world, but God's heart and intent have never changed. Even today, the good news is about wholeness for mankind.

    It Takes Two to Tango

Now the serpent was the shrewdest of all the creatures the Lord God had made. Really? he asked the woman. Did God really say you must not eat any of the fruit in the garden? Of course we may eat it, the woman told him. It's only the fruit from the tree at the center of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. God says we must not eat it or even touch it, or we will die.

You won't die! the serpent hissed. God knows that your eyes will be opened when you eat it. You will become just like God, knowing everything both good and evil." The woman was convinced. The fruit looked so fresh and delicious, and it would make her so wise! So she ate some of the fruit. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and then he ate it, too. At that moment, their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. So they strung fig leaves together around their hips to cover themselves.
