So, the old guy got to where he needed to be doing something creative. I missed being with PBS and doing live shows, long hours editing (ok not really, I didn't like the long hours, or the low pay). But it still beckons at times. So here I am writing a series of books on Commander Bob and Commander Carrol in the Navy SEALS.I took ideas from my time in the Navy and many of the countries that I visited which were used for locations, and you will find that if you google these places they really exist, from the streets to the cafes. My real job is in healthcare, presently the Director of Facilities at the Navy Hospital in Cuba. The hospital overlooks the water in Guantanamo Bay and is almost everything I need. So, enjoy what I have written, and I hope it brightens your day.Bob

    Forward

Hello readers, Before we begin. Just a note - one of the things I left out in the forward on Volume one but will be true on all volumes.

As I write about a city in the book, these are real locations, use google and look at the streets, and if there is street view, you can see the locations that I mention. Including GPS locations, hotels, café’s and streets, they are all real places.

Please note - This does not mean that these places were used, or are being used, for the purpose outlined in this story.

    Now back to the Forward.

In book one the development of Bob and Carrol began with their story, and how they found each other after being apart for many years. This was because their mothers separated them after they were found in a hot embrace with very busy hands and loose clothing. Mothers being mothers, and both being in High school their options were limited, especially after Carrols father was transferred out of state shortly after their mothers got involved. OK caught them almost in the act.

Skipping ahead several years, the Seals are now allowing women into the teams. (The Seals began letting women volunteer in the early 2000’s).

Commander Rick Harris, now Captain Harris, has put together a team headed by Commander Carrol Stacy, (Carrol, was one of the first women allowed into the Seals) and her co-leader Bob Johnson. Harris set their goal, with the blessings of the Joint Chiefs, to establish operations in North Africa and including the outlying areas into Iraq and the Afghanistan areas. One primary goal was to find and Neutralize threats, before they became a problem.

Their first operation for the team, was to find terrorists in North Africa and to stop the North Koreans from developing a weapon which had already been used to wipe out a small village in Southern Syria.

The team while having a successful assignment, cost the team dearly with the loss of 2 members of the team. And it also devastated the leadership with the wounding of Carrol, and the leaders of Team 2, Major Cathy Kilgore and Lieutenant Bill Smith. The three were evacuated to Naples Italy, and then to a recovery area in the Command base in Gaeta Italy for recovery. With the team’s recovery underway Bob was finally able to catch up with Carrol, after he settled the teams with the mission completed, and he got everything settled down back at the teams bases in North Africa. And with the down time Bob made sure he took advantage of the time, and off to Italy he went.

Command had recovery rooms available in Gaeta, which was North of the main Hospital in Naples allowing for a comfortable setting but out of the major population areas. Being an old Sixth Fleet headquarters town, it had all the amenities, great beaches, and great restaurants, with the Navy’s clinics and support services at hand.

As one can imagine, the re-union was going well, and 2 weeks went by without them hardly noticing it going by.

The Navy does care about its people , but the world and its safety comes first.

So, while the two lovers were having an intimate moment the other shoe was preparing to drop in Gaeta and the re-union was coming to a quick halt.

And it all started with a knock at the door. And on answering the door they found Captain Rick, who then without preamble came in and without a warning, dropped the proverbial other shoe.

This is where book 1 ended.

But before we go there, lets complete the set up.

The loss of two members in Cathy’s team were being made up with two new members, and the replacement of Lieutenant Smith, (Assistant leader of Team two with Cathy).

In comes 2nd Class John Ringly from Alexandria Va., A 21-year-old Special Ops Seal, and 2nd Class Mark Hunter from Philadelphia Pa., a 23-year-old Special Ops Seal.

And replacing Lt. Smith will be Lt.Jg. Cleo Lassiter from Dayton Ohio, a 25 year old new Seal fresh out of training.

**** Please Note--- The Seals are an elite force of dedicated men and now women, who are everyday heroes, if you get the chance to know a member, then feel grateful and honored to know them. Hats off to you guys, and anything you may disagree with, in my story, as it is said or portrayed, is never intended to dishonor the Team.

Remember it is a story, Fiction, and set in the not too distant future.***,

As of this writing, (In todays world circa 2022 there are around 13 who have been chosen to apply), and only one woman has made it to Special Warfare Operator, as of the last I heard.

For the readers, this is mainly a Navy story, and yes, we use foul language, never shy away from adult situations, (mostly true), and always think we wear the white hat, and act accordingly.

Carrol, who is one of the
