So, the old guy got to where he needed to be doing something creative. I missed being with PBS and doing live shows, long hours editing (ok not really, I didn't like the long hours, or the low pay). But it still beckons at times. So here I am writing a series of books on Commander Bob and Commander Carrol in the Navy SEALS.I took ideas from my time in the Navy and many of the countries that I visited which were used for locations, and you will find that if you google these places they really exist, from the streets to the cafes. My real job is in healthcare, presently the Director of Facilities at the Navy Hospital in Cuba. The hospital overlooks the water in Guantanamo Bay and is almost everything I need. So, enjoy what I have written, and I hope it brightens your day.Bob

Now back to the intro:
I am a Navy vet, and while I was willing to put in 20 years, I was out after 14 which included active duty and reserves. I have some background. But as a close family friend said, Navy forever.
I did volunteer for BUD’s, after rooming with a seal in A school, and being impressed with what I had heard from him, and being 19 and invincible, it seemed the right thing to do, but, I was never able to get past the physical, due to Dental and bad eyes.
After going to C school in Valle Jo, California, Missile radar school, (Talos), that was also the base for the riverine forces training site. And having some experience in small boats, I even tried for the riverine forces. But by that time, I had a Top-Secret clearance in Nuclear weapons systems, and the Navy is a little stingy in that, thy felt I would be better suited working on a Flag Ship on these missile systems rather than running rivers. Yes, god does look after foolish young men at times.
At least that was my take on things.
He looked after me rather well, even though it seemed he kept me from the fun stuff. I got to travel a lot, live in Italy, yes it was Gaeta. Saw the pyramids as well as other North Africa countries, a lot of Europe and even went above the Arctic circle.
I will say the motto of Join the Navy and see the world, was actually true with me. From the Arctic Circle to North Africa, the Caribbean, to Europe, a lot of very interesting places.
**** Please Note--- The Seals are an elite force of dedicated men who are everyday hero’s. And soon we may see women as well. Anything you may disagree with in my story, as it is said, or portrayed, it is never intended to dishonor the Teams. And remember, it is a story, and set in the not too distant future.***
Now to the story.
Being a Navy story, we use foul language, never shy away from adult situations (mostly true), and always think we wear the white hat, and act accordingly.
As of the writing of this story, women were not in the Seals, and the first opening to allow them to apply, happened in 2016, if I have my facts correctly.
Carrol, who is one of the main characters in the story, is fashioned from women in my life, as well as on the female Marine Drill Instructors, who are known as the baddest women in the military.
As you read, remember this is just a story… Its FICTION.
Book 1 is the beginning, and this book develops the characters with some action, but first we have to get him trained and developed as a character as well as Carrol. More information can be found on the Commander Bob web-sight

Chapter 1
My history, (Bob’s), was pretty short and to the point to begin with.
I started off as a child in the Ozarks, moved to Northern California with family, and enjoyed a good upbringing with Sunday dinners, and many good times with cousins and extended family and friends. One of my family friends daughter, became very special to me and her name is Carrol Stacy, more about her later.
I went to high school in North Sacramento California, took the normal classes that would lead to a college, and while in High School I also took ROTC to learn to shoot competitively and to learn all things dealing with the military.
Growing up, I was also a Boy Scout, and later a Sea Explorer, and that led to me running the rivers and bays of Northern California. And that would play a role in my future that I would never have guessed possible, rather interesting how some decisions can have an effect on your future. Anyway, one of the Sea Explorer bases is based in Aquatic Park, which is close to Fisherman’s Warf in San Francisco. During a long weekend there at the park, I met the sensei that would eventually train both myself and Carrol.
So back to Carrol, the relationship between Carrol and myself was going strong until, it all started to unravel one day during a visit at my house, Carrol, was over for a visit with her mother, and we were just making out in my room. (We were teenagers after all). And up to this point we had grown very close, and to my thinking it had become much more than just a childish romance. We were talking about going to College together, and I thought we were clicking along rather well. And then, our mom’s walked in on us making out.
We had talked about our relationship, we felt we had a deep love for each other, and we knew our parents would not be happy knowing how we felt for each other, but youth can sometimes overlook obstacles.
So when our mom’s walked in on us in a close embrace, it did not go well, and they quickly broke us up, literally.
Carrol’s mother, Sharon, separated us physically and my mother jumped in to help her, and then taking me out of the room. Sharon, took Carrol out to the porch and I could hear the discussion from where I was sat down to wait my discussion. Our moms then teamed up to keep us apart – And right from the beginning, our parents had done an excellent job of keeping us apart, and now separating us. This will make sense later, when Carrol explains what happens.
The timing sucked in that my family decided to move back to the Ozarks, dad had received a good job offer which occurred within a month of our parents breaking us apart. And now here I
