This Illustrated Screenplay book would not be possible without the original inspiration for the short film Not the Way It Feels. Specifically, we are talking about the song Operator (That’s Not the Way It Feels) as written by Jim Croce and the beautifully emotional voice of Toby Lightman whose version simply entitled Operator is featured throughout the short film. Without producer and assistant director Richard Stanley, The Caller would not have a house to call from, and The Operator would not have a call centre in which to answer the call.
