    Introduction

    Thank you for spending your precious time reading these short stories. The stories that follow are my first four stories ever written and came to be thanks to a set of strict guidelines, prompts, and parameters in pursuit of my BFA in Creative Writing. As I continued to create these stories, I realized that each of them tackled a unique aspect of the nature of our hearts, culminating into the series of works you are about to read.

    Robert’s Renewal

    Just a few more moments and I would be off to the dinner date I had so meticulously planned weeks in advance. As I tidied up the remainder of my inventory into its designated space, my manager walked in as he usually did to inspect my progress.

    Impeccable work as ever Robert, he said.
