Venerable Eugene Okechukwu Udeoji 1940

I was born and grew up in the church compound and continue thus till my father retired from church service. In 1947, on a certain Sunday, my Dad came back from church service and made me wear his cassock. My elder brother later told me that he did that in other to attach me to the church. I started to ring church bell at the age of 8 years. I attend Primary School and at the end i was employed as a Pupil teacher PT
in St Mark's Ndiakeme Arondizuogu in 1957. After 4 months i was transffered to St. Philip's ANglican Church Umuduru Egbeaguru.
In 1959, i became an assistant Teacher AT
, i later entered into Elementary Teacher's College ETC
Obosi in 1960 and 1961. In 1962, i became a Grade III teacher was posted to St Matthew's Anglican School Amaokpara . In 1963, i was posted to St. Paul's School Nkwerre. In 1965, i entered into Teacher Traninig Collge TTC
Egbu and in 1966 i finished at St. James TTC
umudi and became a GRADE II TEACHER. IN 1967 i was posted to St. Luke's Primary School as a Grade II Teacher.
The Nigeria/Biafra war which started in 1967 disorganised the school system. I joined the Biafran Army in 1968 and remained there till the end of the war in 1970. In 1973, i was sent to St. Barnabas School Akokwa where i remained till 1976 when i was transfered to community Primary School Umuna as the Head master.
In 1975, while preaching in St. Peter's Anglican Church Akokwa, i
