    Commendation

    Acts 20:32

"So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified".

    The Knowing

    Philippians 3:9-14

"And be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; ¹⁰ that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, ¹¹ if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. ¹² Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. ¹³ Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, ¹⁴ I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus".

    My Conscience

    Acts 24:16

"This being so, I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men".

    Oh Lord!

In your name, may the longings and spirit yearnings of my heart, go with this book to awaken the individual in faith and spirit, and to strengthen your Church with inspiration, revelation and empowerment. And by the effectual working of the Holy Spirit in the living Word of God, that through this book the individual and your Church may know you as the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent, for this is life eternal, as in the Holy write of John 17:3.

    Thank you Lord, Amen!

I PRAY YOU WILL BE SMART TO ALWAYS REMEMBER:

    • THAT YOU ARE NOT DONE WHEN YOU ARE DEFEATED OR FALLEN, YOU ARE ONLY DONE WHEN YOU QUIT.

    • THAT YOU MAY NOT DO EVERYTHING, BUT YOU CAN DO SOMETHING TO MAKE YOU RISE UP AGAIN AND STAY ON THE TOP. SO DON’T FAIL TO DO THE SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN DO.

    FIRST WORD

Communicating & Being Obedient To The Faith: My Story

    BEING ESTABLISHED IN THE FAITH

When I received Christ as my Lord and Saviour all I wanted to do was to please God according to what I was being taught. I had grown up around idolatry and had issues arising from this. The warfare’s at home varied from physical wars to spiritual, mental and psychological wars with my father as a result of my new found faith. Once I came home from boarding school from where I had received Christ, I had to find and locate myself in a local church in order to continue with the fellowship and getting to know my new found faith.

There are two incidents that happened in my experience of faith that taught me a great deal about being established in the faith. The first incident happened that as time went on I would join others to go out for evangelism. I was about 13 years old at this time. I remember going into a household alone where I met a man who welcomed me in. I was on fire for God and the things of God and I wanted to communicate the gospel to him. As I began to witness to him he said to me, Son, this that you are telling me - have you told it to your parents? Not yet’ I replied. Well then he said What makes you think that you can come and tell me something that you haven’t told your own parents. Off you go son. Sort them out first". He made a fool of me that day and I left that house not only embarrassed but with a heavy heart. However - I wasn’t deterred.

Determined to share the gospel, the next time I went out for evangelism I came across a family that were sitting outside in their backyard. Little did I know that they belonged to strong religious group who adhered to a certain belief about the rapture; about the heavens being full; that the rich on earth are in heaven and that the poor are already in hell. They are a people who would not accept prayers from anyone else. They allowed me to share my faith with them before asking me to stop after a little while. Respectfully I did stop and then they began to ask me questions from all angles and on different subjects so much so that I got lost in what I had been sharing and became confused and even misunderstood myself. I began to listen to their own version of things and felt that I had failed to communicate that which I was convinced of. By the time I escaped from that yard, I was grateful that my faith in Christ was still intact. Knowing now what I didn’t know then - had I been converted to their concept of religion, the salvation of my family would have been jeopardised. This is a religion with an enticing belief system that happens to be full of zeal but without the knowledge, power, inspiration and revelation of the Holy Spirit.

With these two events under my belt, I went back to the church and told one of the Pastors about what had happened to me. From these questions I began to ask myself what my faith was hinged on. I asked my Pastor a lot of questions like what our tenets of faith were and what our faith was hinged on. All his answers were based on the Word of God and this led me to delve deeper into the Word so that I would get to know these answers for myself. I also took up to reading books in order to understand and be established in the faith of which I was a part of. One of the pieces of advice that he gave me was to be careful when evangelising not to respond to questions that had little or nothing to do with what I had spoken of to them.

From this point I realised that though I may be weak in my own faith, because my faith is hinged on a solid foundation, I could not be pulled off from it. Armed with this understanding, I was able to share the gospel with my siblings and eventually my mother and father — one by one my family got to know Christ. This was life changing for not only my family but for those who were close to us too.

Why do we need to communicate our faith? Communicating our faith to our circumstances is the basis of our being able to appropriate our promised blessings in Christ Jesus into reality. It’s not enough to just believe in God - it’s about bringing into reality that which you believe. This in turn enables you to be effectual — to be productive, to thrive, to triumph and to have dominion over all things that are likely to limit you. This kind of life is what God designed for believers in Christ as a part of daily living. This is as promised in 2 Corinthians 2:14 and Philemon 6.

2 Corinthians 2:14 "Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place".

Philemon 6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

Until a believer can on their own communicate their faith to their circumstance with what they believe, they will continue to be babes in the faith regardless of the number of years that they have clocked up calling themselves born-again or just going to church. For example — if you were to be in a situation where you had lost your job; or had no food or money; or where sickness had taken hold — how would you deal with those situations if you didn’t have an immediate tangible answer? Do you communicate your faith to your circumstances and get results by it? Or do you figure out a way without your faith being involved? Is your first port of call the social worker, or the government agencies or the community or family and friends? Your communicated faith needs to be effectual and this is made possible by acknowledging every good thing done in you by Christ Jesus. This is what I began to understand when I had situations that involved coming face to face with witch-doctors involved in the idolatry that my family was in at that time. They were challenging times but through it all I grew to know how and why the COMMUNICATION OF MY FAITH was essential.

These two events made me aware of the fact that someone could be in a living, thriving and charismatic Church and yet lost like Jesus describes in the parable of the lost coin in Luke 15:8-10. This would simply be because they have not been ESTABLISHED IN THE FAITH. This is also the reason that many are not OBEDIENT TO THE FAITH regardless of how long they have been in the church and in faith.

We see how in the book of Acts, churches increased daily because they were established in the faith and that the priests were obedient to the faith. It was as a matter of priority under the leadership of the Apostles that all who came to the knowledge of Christ were established in the faith in order to be obedient to the faith and being able to communicate the faith. The Apostles were passionate about the church and often spoke about how they desired to impart spiritual grace to the church so that they would be established in the faith; as well as to have and share a common faith in the Lord.

Acts 16:5 And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.

Acts 6:7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

At the time the Roman church was legalistic, full of zeal; had little knowledge and had doctrinal problems - as a result their faith was not communicating to their circumstances. Apostle Paul told them as documented in the book of Romans chapter one, that the just in Christ ought to communicate and live by their established faith.

Romans 1:5-6 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name: Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ.

Romans 1:9-12 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers; Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you. For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established; That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

Romans 1:16-17 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Bible Studies and Sunday School Lessons within the church were integral to the growth of my faith being established in the faith, obedient to the faith and in my being able to communicate it to all situations that I came across. It is from this springboard of realising the impact that my pastors and the leadership in the church had on me from a very young age that I came to write this book, FAITH IN GOD’S ANOINTED. I pray that from it you would be able to thrive in Christ by being established in the faith; being obedient to the faith and being able to communicate the faith in all matters of life.

My prayer for you is in the context of Psalms 92:10-15, to be planted and rooted; blossom and flourish in the courts of our God just as the palm trees and cedar wood of Lebanon; to be fruitful because of what Christ has done in you and for you.

    In Christ,

    Chukie MORSI

    PREFACE

    Introduction

    Introduction

What is worrying in the church today is how people have begun giving up on the church and on things of the Kingdom of God especially on those seated in places of trust, grace, honour and dignity. Falsehood, false-brethren and false-ministers have found their place in the midst of the supposedly living Church that ought to be the first and final hope of anyone seeking after God. It’s because the Church has become a more worldly-conscious environment in the name of civilisation, socialisation and keeping up with the times. On the other hand, the world has become more conscious of the church’s religious observatory creed, dogmas and traditions. Sacred events like marriages that imbibe decency, dignity and honesty are losing their grip in the Church, the only hope of God for humanity and mankind in general.

Galatians 5:1 reminds us that through Christ we are free indeed and we ought not to go back to any state of bondage. All of creation will and are eagerly wait for the revealing of the sons of God as recorded in Romans 8:19. It’s upon this act and such burdens, that I am compelled, constrained and propelled to write this book.

The first impression I had of God when I gave my life to Christ, was that He is a life changer. It soon became clear as I went on in my walk with Him that He is gracious creator, an uncommon achiever, a good God who loves me and loves His Church and much more He loves humanity at all levels. He demonstratively lavished His love and loving kindness onto humanity through His Son Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour-King. He took me from where He met me to where He wanted me to be; that is, from grass to grace, from a sinner to a saint, from a beggar to a giver, from poverty to prosperity, from hopelessness to hope, from fate to faith, from failure to success, from disappointment to appointment and from nothing to something meaningful, blossoming and colourful, thriving and fulfilling. A glorious High throne from the beginning is God’s intent for you and me says Jeremiah 17:12.

The first verse of the first Chapter of the first book of the Bible is evidence of this – GOD THE CREATOR! The earth was totally impoverished with darkness, without form and void. But God being an achiever changed this state. He created an atmosphere which He would want to see and enjoy. He saw the Holy Spirit move upon the waters, He identified with that move, then spoke and saw what He wanted to enjoy as found in the Holy writ of Genesis chapters one and two. He did the unparalleled – hence I call Him the unparalleled achiever God.

We are His children, sons and daughters of the Most High God – The unparalleled Achiever. In His stead He wants us to achieve desired goals on earth and become in life what we are born to be – His Ambassadors and embassy on earth. That is, creating the atmosphere we want to enjoy and be pleased with. This is what Jesus did while on earth, it is the reason He died, was buried and resurrected and is now enthroned – so that we too might be uncommon achievers. The scriptures say that you are gods. That may be strange to hear for some, but it’s the truth because the Word of God says so. May this book teach you how as you also meditatively and intently read the scriptures below in Jesus precious, gracious and graceful name, Amen.

Genesis 1:1-31 "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day …’’

John 10:30-38 ‘’I and my Father are one … Jesus answered them, is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods. If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the Scripture cannot be broken … But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him’’.

Psalm 82:6 ‘’I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.’’

Genesis 3:5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.

Many times, challenges in life, our position and situations contradict many of our dreams and aspirations. It’s in the midst of this that God guarantees your opportunity to make a difference; a difference that is unique with kingdom lifestyle and not in the way that the world wisdom works. Knowing this limitation of human ways or wisdom, this
