    About the Author

This is Sachin Sarkaniya, Author of this book (obviously you know!).

You might be wondering why i was too obsessed to write this book and want you to read? My frustration of poverty, Job, and people, who are a worshipper of it, urged me to go after money and live the life the way I had desperately wanted. Financially, My childhood had been terrible; My father was not as rich, thus, I had to settle with cheaper, shoddy toys and clothes.

Lack of money even pinched me during my college days and sometimes, I used to feel like quitting college and getting a job, in order to live lavishly. I had observed that my friends, who had jobs, could bear their own expenses, buy the latest smartphones and much more. I decided to work as soon as i am done with college. My perception was; earn money, aṣccumulate wealth and happiness will become your beloved roommate.

But when I did start working, Just within a few months, the illusion of money and wealth shattered and I found myself stuck in a job I hated more than my nasty, uncouth neighbors. I had lost the freedom of choice, and never got enough time to play my favorite games. In fact others, who I was working with, felt the same way but did not have the courage to fix their life.

Therefore, I began my quest to find out what true wealth is, for which, I went through several articles on the internet, read various books and interviewed folks around me. Eventually, It was clearer to me that only having wealth does not guarantee a happy and prosperous life. I also realized that since most of the people have not got as much time to find out what true wealth is, I should write a small, simple, yet effective book for folks like you. I believe this book will be helpful to you. If so, Don’t forget to recommend it to your friends and family members.

    Introduction

November 2009, it was yet another mundane day of our school life. No teacher was going to look after us (merit of being at a government-sponsored school); some of my friends were scrawling lewd pictures in the school diary, while others were indulged in household chit-chats. Since I used to be a coward, timid teenager back then, I was among them and took a deep interest when it came to revealing what our fathers actually used to do in order to earn modest bread and better for our respective families.

Superiority complex played a vital role here and each of us bragged about how hardworking and passionate our godly fathers were; "My father leaves home as early as 6 in the morning and arrives at home after the entire DID episode has been aired,'' One of our classmates told us.

While he was narrating his father’s glorious life, we could notice his expressions as if he were the son of a soldier, whose father would prove his mettle at fatal borders. All my naive fellows (including me) got flabbergasted by his father’s heroic and enduring lifestyle.

All of us had the same story; the same old father, who worked round the clock, often skipped family functions, major festivals( for the sake of extra cash as a bonus), but remained broke most of his life. But among us, there was someone who shocked us by his personal experience. Abhijeet, who is still one of my best friends, penned about his father in this way: "My father is an uncouth man, he doesn’t work and reclines most of the time on the sofa, watching retro movies."

"So how do you manage household expenses? Does your mom have a job?" I asked him curiously. No, not at all. We have rented three rooms in our house that are our primary source of survival. This is why my father never worked a day in his life, he knows that even if he doesn’t earn a single penny, We will be surviving, Abhijeet said with a lower tone.

At that point in time, I could not get the hang of his father’s strange way of nurturing his kids. For me, He seemed to be a selfish, somewhat shirker who loved his bed tea more than his own kids. Everyone is supposed to get a job or business. Work there, earn some money and fulfill your fatherhood, I mumbled slowly lest Abhijeet may get hurt.

But the reality was far different than what I actually had estimated. The real truth would cross my path just after 10 years. In 2019, the acrimonious yet universally accepted and abided by truth came into limelight when I bumped into the concept of financial freedom. I still vividly remember the
